  • I don't really share a lot of my private life on the forum hun, some of it i prefer to keep private. Its prob first time i've mentioned it on my diary to be honest, i don't like mentioning it, some fpeople can be a bit funny on forums about police i have found before. I'm looking to join Kent police when i move back, its going to be a lot of hard work but its what i want. I wouldn't carry on a job in the force when in America, i think i would just love to be a mummy and maybe part-time helper in a school.

Aww, i totally get what you mean about your 'safe place'. Its going to be hard leaving all my family, especially my sister and ickle niece, but i always say they can come with and start a life out there with us. My folks aren't that keen, but i think my sister would be up for it.

Vegas is another place I want to go. I've just spent the past 15 minutes entering competitions for holidays to New York :rotfl: - my feet are getting itchy ;) .

Fingers crossed you win Emily :D xxx
  • YAY - just checked Quidco this morning and most of my outstanding orders have been validated. Fingers crossed that means i will get my £150 paid out this month. I'm feeling like this month may just be a good month pay wise. Unfortunately half my wages will be going on the Christmas hols, not on debt payments.

I have had £25 validated today too so that can go into my ISA as will be debt free once quidco pays out, so exciting :D
Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month
  • The holiday to New York has Christmas has now been all confirmed and booked, its soooo exciting. I am counting down the days to Christmas now. Woohoo!!!!!! Unfortuantely this has set me back over £900 so my DFD may have just moved to early 2009. I'm not too upset by this because i'm still going to pay extra money towards my debt each month, just won't be nothing near what i was hoping.
  • I did spend £40 this weekend on a few treats for my lil niece. My OH and I was in the Disney store in London and i couldn't resist buying her a few things.

  • Hi Maria,

Yes we are going on the 22nd December and back on the 28th December. I'm emailing resturants at the mo trying to book our Christmas dinner. We are going to do all our Christmas shopping over there then when we get back have Chrsistmas again with our family. I know i'm going to go OTT in the BIG toy store they have there, FAO Schwarz - http://www.fao.com/home.jsp . When we went this year i spent loads on toys in that store and it wasn't even Christmas, i'm dreading what its going to be like at Christmas. They do sell some amazing toys there though.

Sounds fab! I would love to go away for xmas with my OH, in the whole 7 years since ive been with my OH we have never shared a xmas together!!!! Every year him and his family go upto Birmingham where his nan & grandad live. I was invited last year but i like seeing my nephews at christmas, its the best part seeing him open and play with his presents. and i dont wanna leave my parents sat on there own on christmas day either! So i dont go. Im hoping this year they might have christmas at there home instead.

Do you go over with near empty suitcases to stock up!
