Both of my cats are in sleeping, one doesn't mind the rain the other hates it, they spent a lot of time indoors when babies so not very brave when cold and wet lol.

  • I've been a bit slack when it comes to updating my diary, its probably because i never feel my debt is going down, so kinda given up working really hard to become debt free.

My OH and I have decided to go to New York for Christmas, will set us back around £900 each, but its going to be totally worth it. I think it might mean i won't be debt free by Christmas, but to be honest i'm not fussed becuase i think i have done well to get my interest debt to around £900, with only having my parents left to pay, and they are still telling me to stop paying them back, which i might just take them up on. I know i know, i will feel guilty, but as they kee saying its my money anyway because when they die i will get my share of the money my folk have.I never listen to them though because i hate hearing things like that, i'd rather be poor than have my parents taken from me.

Fingers crossed i will get the extra £60 in my pay this month with the tax rebate. I have already worked out i will get an extra £200 from overtime in August, so this month should be looking pretty healthy if Quidco pay out the £150 too, which shows as receiving in September - yay!!! AND i should have £200 left over from August pay if i be careful with my money.

I know we still have Autum to go yet, but i'm getting awfully cold of an evening, my parents are even putting on the heating from an hour or two for when i get out the bath because i get THAT cold, madness. I'm sure i'm 89 in a 24 year olds body lol. I quite like the cold, but when i'm still wearing summery clothing its not great. I must start getting out my winter wardrobe. Actually, i must buy a whole new winter wardrobe :-)

  • Thanks Emily. My best mate lives in NYC, and i've been there quite a number of times ** shopping is soooo good ** to visit my friend but i have never been at Christmas time unfortuantely. I am also going to Vegas in November, which i am saving for spending money now.

I guess because i live with my folks still i have it easy, they still treat me like im 12 even though i'm 24 lol. So whatever Hayley wants, she gets. I do feel a bit spoilt, but i'm making the most of it because when we move back to kent in a few months i'll be getting a place with my OH and i will be spoilt no more. I know my mother will pop over all the time though with food to make sure we're eating lol.

Vegas is another place I want to go. I've just spent the past 15 minutes entering competitions for holidays to New York :rotfl: - my feet are getting itchy ;) .

  • Thats why they are so tight Maria lol, 5 holidays a year? wow. I'm guessing you don't go along too? or would that be treating you like a proper teenager? my parents have no money issues and are both really successful, i think thats why they don't mind when the heating goes on, if i'm cold or my younger brother it goes on. If i'm like my mum when i get older i will be a happy thing, she's the best mum ever!!!!

My OH has his own place, he bought a brand new apartment on a nice new estate about 2 years ago. Unfortuantely as the housing market is so awful at the moment we can't put it up for sale, so are sorting out renting it. I'm really dreading renting it out, but nobody wants to buy it at the moment for what its worth. He paid £201K 2 years ago, and they say he'd be lucky to get £190K. If we hold off for another few years the value will slowly go up, but until its sold we can't buy a place together in Kent. God i hate the current housing situation

I want to move to USA Maria, its why we keep going to holiday to the states, i'm trying to visit all the states i fancy moving too in a few years time, thats if they will have us lol.

  • LMAO - its great him having his place, because it was brand new we decorated it from scratch, i LOVE interior design, i now wish i had gone into that kinda work. The flat looks amazing, its why i'm dreading renting it out, it was our project for quite a few months.

I really want to move to either San Francisco or Seattle. Your prob thinking why those places, well they are not as touristy like New York/Florida etc, and i want somewhere i can raise a family, somewhere safe for my childen to grow up, also somewhere safe for my OH as he's a police officer isn't he, i can't have him out on the beat in dodgy areas, especially as the gun crime in awful in some states.
