Got bored today so got out the sewing machine and thought what to make. decided to make a bag but had no material. eventually found some old bits but no matching cotton.
anyway as i was then in the mood to play i found this ribbon and ....well... just pleated it on to mask the white cotton. so will now use it keep all my sewing bit and bobs in.. WELL when i buy some... LOL :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks guys. Going on holiday next week and I vow to stock up on fabric and accessories on my return.

Loving all the bags, my sewing machine is out at the moment, but only for the boring task of taking up trousers! Reading this has definately inspired me, I do love sewing!

Could I ask what websites you use for fabric positivelymummy? I particulary like the red flowery one, would be perfect to make a skirt from! There's a farbric shop near me, but it's mostly furnishing/curtain fabrics or kiddie prints. Can never find anything suitable for skirts and dresses.

    Many thanks

there is nothing like the fabric shops there
used to be and mostly when there is its
    selling curtain type fabrics.Although this
type of fabric is probably ideal for bag making.

Thanks, I have been looking on ebay, but haven't found anything I suitable yet. I like all the lovely boden print skirts, but they're sooo expensive, and I know I could make them, if only I could find the fabric....

is it the floral designs that you like
    in the Boden fabrics ?
I like floral things myself I always
do a search by entering rose fabric
in the search box and it brings in
lots of different fabrics.Your on a
safe bet quality wise if its any of
    these below

    Moda , Robert Kaufman , Makower ,
    Cranston , Liberty , Michael Miller ,
    Timeless treasures , Free Spirit

The ones above are the ones that instantly
come to mind there are others. All the ones
above I have used in the past and have
managed to pick up some real bargains
    buying these on ebay.
