Last night the network was apparently down from 2 to 3 ish. We're not sure why yet, talking to the server company.

Im less bothered about that (as it happens and there's nowt we can do) than the general overall slowness

I also couldn't get on last night, but the server being down would probably explain that.

Off topic, I have had an idea for about 12 months but try as I might I just can't make it work. May'be my idea wouldn't or couldn't work (If it could, then it would probably be in use already).

If your interested Martin, Brendan or "Willy" then I'll be happy to discuss it.

This morning the site is painfully slow, think this may be due to the tip being sent out so site traffic being up, but even on broadband it is taking forever to load a page.

Have tried loads of other sites and it is only slow on this one

Yes there's a tip gone out today. The site is under stress. We're going to upgrade the bandwidth again from 5 Mbps bandwith to 10 Mbps in the next day or so! I hope this will stop the problem.

Of note we in august there were an average if 180,000 pages viewed each day
In September it went to 240,000
This month its around 330,000

Today my estimate is it will be around 450,000

You can see why the site is struggling. So we'll try and help it cope as best we can!
