First TMA results arrived!!!! Pass mark is 40............I got................76 :j pleased I passed, over the moon that I passed with points to spare :D as the first few assignments go off the average score to pass so that's some 'safety points' just incase..

DP got 81 but we'll not dwell on that, he's done a lot of it recently when he did his HNC, last time I studied anything like this was 15years ago, however does prove we don't just copy everything.

    Well done lil-me :T:T
Love the picture of not wanting to open the envelope :rotfl:
The secret is to open just far enough to read the mark then leaving it until you feel strong enough to read the comments as well.
  • Killer Kitchen - Tuesday
It appears to be a short list today but some of the tasks are quite substantial
    Level One

Open the windows and let in the spring!
    Level Two
    [strike]Sweep[/strike] and Mop the floor
[strike]Wipe the cupboards, appliances and all those manky corners!![/strike]
    Level Three
[strike]Wipe the table, replace cloth if needed [/strike]
Clean all those small appliances. Empty crumbs out of the toaster, scrub the microwave, descale the iron and kettle, shine the breadmaker, polish the slowcooker. Did this last kitchen day too...
Take EVERYTHING out of the fridge give it a deep clean.. including shelves and drawers!! did this last kitchen day however unscrewed bottom plate and cleaned and screwed back on. Also cleaned all the fluff from the vents at the back... I wonder if that is why it was making so much noise?! :rotfl:
    Extras
    • Clean oven/hob if you must.. *rolls eyes*
    • HHI .. with your clean iron!! wm not plumbed in - so ironing up to date!
    • Clean windows and sills
    • treat the pets for fleas!!! This is prime time for them to be developing an infestation.. the last thing you need in your house! Don't forget to deflea those beds and baskets and other flea-homes no pets
Full of excuses today :o have done other bits to make up for what I can' yet do...

DW back in and working - also cleaned out the cupboard it goes into and re organised.

All shelves back into larder -they needed to be screwed in, shelves cleaned and then reorganised also. (found a spare bracket so will pop out and get another shelf)

All tools collected together but left out to remind DH that there are 2 shelves that need to go up in the kitchen ;)

ummm quite a bit of faffing around and drinking coffee...

*ok I am hanging my head in shame now* :rotfl:

Parents night this evening so as long as mum arrives DH and I can go together (unheard of since out last babysitter grew up and found other things to do with her time!) So if I check the distance between the rafters in the garage and see if we can use the same shelving system up there that we us in the larder then we could pick that up while we are out tonight (it should also mean that there is more floor space in the garage - in theory anyway!) I checked the weather and it is meant to be nice here on Saturday so we can haul everything out - kids can play and we can have a massive fling/reorganisation maybe.

If I am quick I can run out for an hour - think I am going stir-crazy here.

lil_me - I was kinda thinking it is worth a try - if it doesn't go well then they can go back to plastic - I will hide them though!

Plates - from about 2 and glasses/china mugs and yes we have quarry tiles. Kids need to know things break so to be careful and if you have an accident you say sorry, clear up the mess and the world does not end. Saying that hardly any have got broekn - we are very shabby chic here - not all matching and none of it expensive. A couple of my favourite bits I would not give to them as it would not be fair if they broke them.

Right off to help in school now. IBS really bad today for no obvious reason - been reading in a book and they recommend codeine - anybody used this? Can you buy it OTT - not asking for medical advise just if you can buy it.

It is sold in low doses (with paracetamol) - best to speak with your doctor. DH needed to get a prescription for tablets with a 30mg codine content. I think OTC all he could get was 7mg... DH needed them for pain relief - sorry I can't help more and thanks for your advice re plates.

Back from the dentist and i only need 1 filling :j , as i said to him walking out the door ''not as bad as usual then'' he just laughed. Hate going everytime i normally need loads of fillings 4+ or i'm pregnant and he can't do anything.

Right hubby knocked out and really don't expect him to waken today, kid's watching High School Musical 2 again (they cannot get enough of it) but at least it's peaceful.

I'm hoping to do a OU course to but have been told to do ECDL first and then apply. I'd really like to go on to teach computers. I really admire all of yous for your discipline to study.:A

Right gonna get a cuppa first and then throw kiddies out into the garden so i can find the bedroom floor:rotfl: or maybe i should do my tesco shop first.:undecided
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

DS1 has a massive ear infection and has been sicking most of the night and morning. Waiting on the chemist to open to get his antibiotic. Giving him paracetamol but it doesn't do much and he can't have ibuprofen if he isn't eating/being sick.

Plus, he is so crabbit! Not that I blame him.

He is eating a digestive so we will see how that goes.

Chasingbutterflys, both mine use plastic plates (their choice) and normal cups/glasses/cutlery. But we don't have adining table so eat off our laps or the coffee table. If we ate at a proper table I'd give them proper plates. Also I break more plates and what not than anyone else in the house.

Grrr, cant find anything. Anybody got ideas on how to clean green stuff (I think its maybe mould) from my kitchen window handles????
  • SSS - are they definately aluminium? or is it the colour/coating?

I am so trying to get out :rotfl:

I asked DH as he knows a bit about metal but without seeing it he was struggling to think what it was.

All I can say is that if it is Ally be really gentle with it. It will go white if you use something too strong (don't ask me how I know this!)
