Good morning everyone,
Smoky ((HUGS)) thinking of you and your family still xxx
Catz - hope OH will be feeling better soon xx
Martyn - glad you are sounding more positive today.
LTS - DD still not too good (and thanks to redruby, anniebooklover and catz yesterday for thinking of her) and getting panicky now because she wants to go to school tomorrow (its their Easter eggstravaganza) but at the moment she is still too poorly. Their dad is meant to be coming today to take them out, so ive just texted him to say DD isnt well, but i havnt had a reply, so im assuming he is still coming to take DS out. Good luck with the ebay sales!!! I really need to get some stuff listed and out of the way!!!
Taplady - glad you have had a good holiday, shame you were here in such bad weather tho!!!
mrs mix :hello:
((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxx
Well, as i said just now DS should be going out with his dad today, so i expect DD and i to cuddle up on the sofa and watch DVDs today - ive asked their dad to pick up some throat sweets for DD, but if he doesnt i might have to go and get some, which i dont want to do as i will have to take DD with me, and seeing that she wants to go to school tomorrow, could do with not going out into the cold.
I do need to do some cleaning and baking, but we will see how the day goes!!!
Hope everyone has a good day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good morning everyone,
We had a more sensible wake up time this morning, so I'm happy.
Catznine, my cousin's bf had Bell's Palsy, and it did go on for a while, but he made a full recovery from it, so hugs to your dh and fingers crossed that he starts getting better soon.
Martyn, to turn stock into soup, you chop whatever veg you fancy (carrot, leek and parsnip are good with chicken) and maybe a bit of leftover chicken and even a potato if you have some, then just let it simmer until the veg is cooked (or a couple of hours in the slow cooker - that way there's no pan to watch/remember/boil dry).
Take care all of you0 -
Morning all
it`s a very wet and windy morning today, i`m just finishing my cuppa then i`m off for a soak in the bath before going to do the weekly shop.
Later when i`ve run a few errands for people i should be able to catch up with the rest of yesterdays thread and a few others that i`ve been missing lately.
Big ((((hugs )))) to all who need them.
Hope everyone has a nice relaxing Sunday
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Morning All
(((hugs))) if needed/wanted especially for Catznines OH - hope it starts improving soon, my Dad had it a couple of years ago.
Very wet and miserable looking here, pity as we can walk to school through the fields when its dry which is lovely but it will be back to the roads this week.
Later this morning am taking DD & her friend to see the Hannah Montanna 3d movie in Chelmsford, its only on till thurs. DS was meant to be going but changed his mind at the last minute. Im not watching the film so plan to drop them off, look in a couple of shops then spend the rest of the time in Starbucks reading the paper. Will buy some of their coffee grounds to take home.
Have gammon in the slow cooker for tonight, gonna jump in the bath in a min then think I will please everyone & cook bacon & eggs.
Hair is nice & all grey has disappeared (for a while anyway).
Off now, have a great day.

Good morning all
(((hugs))) to Smokybabe and family
catznine Hope your poor DH starts to improve soon. will send you a pm re Bell's Palsy.
catowen sorry to hear your poor DD isn't much better. Am I right in thinking you were under the weather too yesterday? Hope you both start to feel better soon.
(((hugs))) to any and all who need them.
Well, while cleaning up DS's bedroom yesterday, I discovered that XDH hadn't tightened up the radiator enough when he put it back in place after I had decorated DS's room. The books on the floor next to it were soaked through but hopefully that means the new carpet hasn't had to absorb too much of the leaking water. It's a dark carpet so I can't see if there are any water stains. He came and tightened it up so the leak has stopped but the radiator needs bleeding now and I can't find the little thingummy-jig that I need to do it. So, *another* call to XDH today (hate asking him to do anything for me but I'm not calling a plumber out).
Got all the ironing done yesterday and lots of cleaning so the house doesn't look too bad.
Mass this morning then the supermarket to get some bits and pieces for lunches this week. Didn't get the BM on yesterday so will do that today. Need to get some chicken out of the freezer too for dinner.
Have a sunny Sunday (even those of you in the rain
). xx "Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning all
It's a wet day here too, but my garden really needs it. I have washing everywhere. Tested my wine that has been sitting in the airing cupboard since August, it still tastes like sherry, too sweet:think: , have no idea what's going on but will phone my Dad later.
HUGS to all of you who want one especially Smokey, Catowens DD and Catzine's OH.
Today I have heaps of ironing to do. Will make a start shortly. Am taking DS to the circus after lunch. We have £2 tickets :j . I went for the first time last year and thought it was the most incredible thing I had ever seen. OH is not keen so he will stay here. Will bung some brisket in the SC before I go.
Seem to be having another one of my insomniac phases at the moment, always like this when I have a lot of studying to do.
Have a good day all.

Sitting here with a pot of tea and just heard DD(14) come downstairs.
DH is still asleep and my other two DDs are not downstairs yet.
Trying to decide if I should make a huge pot of pea and ham soup in the slow cooker as well as making Sunday lunch or leave it till tomorrow. Might see what the weather is like and if it seems cold and windy make the soup.
DH would eat pea soup every day if I made it but I get bored making the same thing. DD has a nice recipe for sweet potato soup but DH says he only likes "green"soup- he even sulks if I put carrot in!!!
Martyn
If you add some chopped onion, potatoes and leek to the chicken stock it should make a tasty soup.
Has the squares thread really been locked?
Might go to supermarket later for more veg for lunch and see if there are any bargains.
DD's school blouse has gone lilac!!! so putting it in a bleach solution having already soaked it in Vanish and washed it in the stuff as well!
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Morning all.
I've been up since 6am today as my DS decided not to go back to sleep!!
I have soooo much to do today its just not fair!
- I have to finish my work (data entry today)
- finish sorting out our room (moved recently boxes everywhere)
- clean kitchen
- hoover upstairs
- hoover downstairs
- go to town and buy everything I missed off my online shop!!!
- put all of DS old clothes in the charity bag that came yesterday
- clean bath
I got a chicken out the freezer yesterday so should be ready for todays lunch!
I'm buying a big pot today for the cooker. Found a 24cm one in Robert Dyas for £7.99 BARGAIN!!
So much to do...I'd rather be in bed!!!!
Hope everyone has a good day!!

Morning all. STRESSEDOUT and CATZNINE - I have pm'd you both about the squares thread. CATZ - (((hugs))) to your DH.
CHURCHMOUSE :hello: :hello: :hello:
TAPLADY - Welcome back and I'm so glad you had a good time!
BENTHOSBOY - I'd take HARIBO up on the offer of the spare room; you can let us know what the hospitality was like and we'll all book a night there! You are obviously feeling much more positive which is great. Onwards and upwards, I say!
Well, DH has gone to work. He'll have worked for eighteen days non-stop by Thursday so is really looking forward to the bank holidays for Easter. He seems to thrive on hard work although he can't keep his eyes open in the evenings! But then, neither can I!
SMOKY - hope things are improving. Love and (((hugs))) to you, Eric and the LOs.
Well, I seem to have the whole day stretched out before me with no interruptions which makes a change. I shall try and make the most of it - I need to finish wrapping up DS2'S bride-to-be's birthday pressies and I must tackle the spare room which I've been meaning to do for weeks now - all my craft stuff is on the bed and should be in boxes and on shelves!
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good Sunday despite the constant rain. Will call in later.
