Mrs Moneypenny - is the mobile phone case another challenge? I must have missed it. If it is, could you send me the link to the pattern, please?
thanks
KathyXX
well its a challenge:rotfl: but not the sort you mean Kathy. Charlie on lh posted that her daughter wanted one but she couldnt knit it and asked if someone would mind having a go for her so i offered. i've made a pattern by looking at a photo on the net and trying to count how many stitches it looks like so the first one came up too big (thats going to be a purse for my niece) finished the one for charlie last night and it fits my phone just right, nipped round my mum i laws this morning and found a button exactly the right colour so i just need to sew the press stud and button on and i can get it posted off. someone has posted a pattern on lh for a polo neck type phone cosy i might have a go at some more as little stocking filler type gifts they are as easy and quick almost as is hats.
welcome to the wooligans Shez, sorry i dont visit our site as often as i should.
thank you for the updates kathy, i love seeing how all the totals rise up.:T
is anyone else having trouble getting into the lh forums this morning? ive tried a few times and cant get inSPC~12 ot 124

Hi Mrs Moneypenny - I found the thread about the mobile phone cover because I was intrigued about it! I'm glad you were able to help and that it also gave you (and me) ideas for Christmas pressies!
Sometimes when I've tried getting into Loving Hands it's slow on the forums and a message has come up saying that it's closed briefly for maintenance or words to that effect. I think they do it at the same time each day. I haven't tried yet today but am just about to - one day I hope to beat mommabear in the quiz! She's so quick!
I will update later with Chalky's latest phenomenal count of hats. I have done two more IS hats and a body warmer. Did you see the photos that Shez posted on the Yahoo site? I asked about the bibs because I think they're so cute and a good way of using up leftover bits of wool - she kindly posted the link to the pattern so I'm going to try those once I've done a few more IS hats.
It is lovely seeing the totals rise - I still can't believe how well this idea is doing and have to pinch myself when I do the updates! It's so good that so many people are still willing to spend the time and wool on helping the good causes, especially as we all lead busy lives, too. The thing I'm not very good at doing is posting the items off. DH is working all weekend so I'll organise my wrapping up for Monday. I have some squares to send to OECS besides stuff for PreemiesUK and Loving Hands!

Hi Mrs Moneypenny - I dithered over one question or I would have got the full 10 but I can't do it as quickly as mommabear! She must have a much younger brain than me, is what I say!

Hi Kathy and MrsM,
Excuse me butting inI have started doing the quiz too, and really enjoy doing it, but how on earth does mommabear answer so quickly
yes must be a younger brain than mine too.
I had an inspiration last night and have redecorated my boob, it looks so much better now and I am really pleased with itjust got to name and post now
I will take a pic and put it on the Wooligan site, when I can find the camera, OH has put it away

Hi there! I'm glad you've finished your boob, Pippa - I have changed my mind about mine several times but have decided on what to do with it now. I'll post a photo when it's been 'pimped'!
Mrs Moneypenny - I've got into the habit of taking photos of everything I make now so that I can collect them in an album - I make a lot of things as gifts so I can remember what I've given to whom! I only wish I'd had the digital camera years ago - to be able to print off your own photos I find amazing after all the years of getting films developed and ending up with pictures I didn't always want!
Pippa - you're not butting in! I'm glad you've started doing the quiz - that means there are more of us so Mommabear has a bigger challenge on her hands! I would love to be top of the score board just once! I have got quicker but there's always one question that I hesitate over and then I usually plump for the wrong answer! Still, I think it's good exercise for the brain!
Anyway, I've done some proper work this afternoon, after spending the morning cleaning the house, so I'm going to sit down and do a couple of hours knitting before I have to start the dinner.

i've just been down the post office with my 21 IS hats:D . Hope i can get a chance to do some more before the deadline. i put a note in with them to say they were from hats i'd knitted as part of the 'wooligans group' on the moneysavingexpert.com website.
i want to crack on with mums waistcoat now before i do anything else, but i did pm sue for some 'funny' wool so ill do scarves for lh with that if it comes.
I've printed the vent hat pattern off (thanks kathy) so ill look out for some 4ply wool to do some of those for preemiesuk soon.SPC~12 ot 124

Hello everyone, I'm still around, just been very busy so not much time to catch up on the forums... but I have managed to do some knitting :j some for me and my family, and 1 more baby blanket and 1 scarf for Loving Hands.
I really love doing the corner to corner pattern baby blankets, nice and easy for a evening when I'm too tired to come on the pc lol! The one I did is 24" square... I shall try and make the next one bigger or smaller so it's the right size for what you want Shez

Besides those that have already been posted on here I have to add my Mum's (LilyMay) 8 buntings, 2 STC hats and 2 blankets! I think this is the most I have had to add in one go so well done to everyone and thank you!
Here goes:
The first figures are for the STC (Save the Children) hats and the second is for the (IS) Innocent Smoothie hats which we can do in readiness for the go ahead of Sainsbury's next campaign.
