I'm sorry to hear some of you are worried now, I wouldn't have posted it if I'd known that there were bad reports on this company. :o

I hadn't ordered because the item on offer is just not my sort of thing, but at the end of the day it is up to you whether you want to take the chance that this would be honoured - and as I said earlier on I doubted it would be - or, as it turns out now, take the chance with this particular company. Sorry again :o

I think your all going a bit OTT, if you had seen a normal dvd that was priced at a reasonable price you would buy it, don't think they are gonna start clearing everyones bank accounts and like i said they refunded me straight away!! But each to there own!!

As you say each to his own, I just feel it more prudent to prevent something happening rather than deal with the symptoms later and certainly more cost and time effective. I used a debit card which would give any potential fraudulent user access to my card details and possibly my account, not a risk I am prepared to take whether over cautious or not I will rest easier tonight for having done so in light of the information available to me at this time.

I would point out that I have so far seen nothing that states clearly any specific upheld allegation against this company, but there has been doubt cast and that doubt is enough for me.

I'm not knocking your caution ben, I'm sure your advice will help someone, if not in this situation, then maybe another.

And redfox, whatever happens... always remember, its not your fault!! Dont be sad, we'll sort it out.....

Yes i understand your worries, but really think that it a little unfair that this company, although it might have some bad reports, is getting the unjust comments about card fraud, a little steep don't you think?

They had my card details from a previous order anyway but have never taken more than i agreed and just because they have poor CS so have Tesco's and other big companies but we don't blacken their reputation with comments about card fraud!

No problem didn't see it as a knock, just thought I would explain what otherwise might have seemed irrational advice to give.

And here here to that foxie if we all spent hours researching every bargain we spotted everybody would be sold out by the time the post popped up. We all dive in and take the risk in the hope we hit a bullseye, it only goes to support the statement in my siggy

I don't think anyone did accuse them of fraud certainly not me in fact I thought I made that quite clear.

As for Tesco they have more than enough on their hands at the moment.

I felt a need to excercise caution myself and as such it would have been selfish of me to keep that to myself and knowingly let others run that same risk, that assesment was made based on the information I have available to me and nothing more, I know nothing of this company prior to the original post.

I hope that clears it up.

It would seem obvious from reading the matter supplied above that your details may well have fallen into the hands of an undesirable company, don't risk it cancel your card five days of inconvenience is betting than having your money stripped from your balance.

    What is that saying then?

I don't know if anyone has seen the royal mail programs on telly recently but it could be that these guys are near a particularly poor sorting office. Constant royal mail issues are believable enough as I've had some issues in the past and certainly have received damaged goods.

If a company is pushing through a lot of units they are certain to generate a number of issues in postage. Just a thought.

If you look at the history of people's dealings with them you'll find a trail of people being offered and receiving refunds. It's when they try to go beyond this to secure their original good price that delays seem to appear.

THis seems similar to the cack HMV offers. Yeah they list sale prices but only part of the stock is allocated at this price, they use different barcodes for the same DVDs to ensure you have no 'right' the pick it up and get that price. Technically they're different products. May be the same here.

"Loose lips sink ships" and all that. Rumour can often put smaller companies out of business.

I've seen these DVDs packs sold recently by other reputable companies for around 5 pounds, clearance stock. This price is almost too good to be true but bear in mind there's really only 3/4 well-known movies in there. The list price is absolute bunkum.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

It's saying there is a likelyhood that your details may be at risk and you may want to insure against that risk.

If not at risk of fraud, then what risk?
