Don't even bother trying to cancel your order do the wise thing and cancel your card!
It would seem obvious from reading the matter supplied above that your details may well have fallen into the hands of an undesirable company, don't risk it cancel your card five days of inconvenience is betting than having your money stripped from your balance.
Mine's already done over the telephone by the way.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Still a nice spot though even if it did turn out to be a bogey this time.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

Sounds a bit drastic?! I understand what your saying, best be on the safe side, but the site looks well presented and someone has already used them (sockospice.... page 2).
On their t&c's Point 9 reads...
You may cancel your order at any time prior to your order being processed by clicking on the 'Empty shopping cart" button in your shopping cart. If you place the order accidentally then please email info@selectdvds.com and we will do our best to resolve the situation.
Hopefully this is all we need to do, sounds like a misprint, in which case they wouldnt honour the order?? And inform us via email??0 -
I think your all going a bit OTT, if you had seen a normal dvd that was priced at a reasonable price you would buy it, don't think they are gonna start clearing everyones bank accounts and like i said they refunded me straight away!! But each to there own!!

I also thought the name was familiar so I did a search through my emails and found one of an order I placed with them in January this year. After receiving nothing after placing my order, I chased it up, only to get the response below:

Hi.
This is a message from SelectDvds.com regarding your recent order for Place In The Sun that we sent out to you 1st class on 1/4/2005.
I can confirm that the package was returned to us this morning marked as undeliverable as it seems that the address label was made ilegible by some sort of spillage during sorting and so has been returned to our return address. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay that this has caused. We have resent the package to you 1st class this morning and so the item should reach you very shortly.
Thank you for your assistance. We hope you enjoy the DVD.
Regards,
Jon. (Selectdvds.com Customer Services)

To their credit I did finally receive the item but it was the first and last order I ever placed as it seems this happens a bit too often and I would sooner spend a little more and go to a name I know I can depend on.
It's your call really, nobody can tell you who to use and who not to use, you just have to make your own judgement.0 -

I tried this but it appears my shopping cart is already empty as the order went through. I will email them and see what they do.
I'm not panicking about this because i'm confident my CC company can handle any attempted fraud, so wont be cancelling my card, but this is the first time in 100's online transactions where i've felt so naffed off!Wins to date since Aug 2008: Book 'Life with my sister Madonna' (My 1st win!) | Garnier Eye Roll On | (Sept) Wall e Robot| (Oct) £110 worth Miller Harris Perfume!|

Same here, cart empty. I'm not on panic mode... yet, lol! Although we did use Switch not the Visa, so I wont have the back-up from the CC Co. They'll have a busy morning in the DVD offices 2mrw!!
Fingers crossed everyone who ordered. Hope we resolve this one way or the other0 -
Just been doing a bit of a google search, and although there are some negative reviews, there are also a lot of positives too (I did notice there's one guy who posted the same review to every site that came up on google). I certainly haven't had any problems when I used them (they used to be good for ECW dvds), so I don't think accusations of potential credit card fraud are particularly fair!
The spot was only posted a few hours ago, so I'm just going to wait and see what happens. Well done to the OP for the spot, if it doesn't turn out then so be it, but it was worth a try.0 -
