PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. You should start a separate thread and post them all up!I have two A4 pages of estate agent's howlers collected over the past couple of years. Here's a sample:
An extremely well presented Victorian farmhouse dating back to 1927
Oldbury on Severn itself is a small village of outstanding natural beauty and with a close nit community.
Numerous period features, which include exposed beams, window seats, stone mullions, log burning stove set in stone built fireplace with clone oven. (Put in one loaf, get two?)
Built in 1991, this is a substantial family home with extensive views to the front and rear across open countryside and farmland as well as the River Severn with its famous tidal boar.
The grounds of the property are a particular feature, being of a particular size and surrounding the ground itself.
extensive rear grounds having patio area, garden tool store and potting shed, censor lights…
(Do something inappropriate & they switch off, I presume.)
Two bedroom bungalow with lots to offer. Including stables, hay barn and approximately 7 acres of land. Do not miss out & view toady!
I'm not one to make fun of folk who have problems with spelling and grammar, but these did make me chuckle. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to share them.Illegitimi non carborundum.0
