Are people trying to imply that I'm a bully? Better not be, else I'll thump ya! :p

    u lot are funny lol

thanks for good advise that was well intentioned.

i bought the property for a lot less than what i'm selling it for, and have a very low mortgage on it so can afford to drop, so may do but would like to get the higher price (obviously), its not greed, it's life, after all i've still got to buy somewhere else and the way house prices are (big circle i know).

actually got a viewing now next week (oops).
have took on board the serious people on here.
    thanks everyone

    First things I noticed are:
1] Offers in excess of. That is offputting
2] There are NO details on rightmove about the flat. No room sizes.

And then: what the others said.

haha or peculiar? I can never decide...
  • I personally would have to be desperate to even view a property with these agents. They were most prospective buyer unfriendly agents you can imagine! I have been in to ask for details on properties in the past, and have been given the third degree, had to have an interview with their mortgage advisor. and all before they would even give me details. I found them very frustrating, and as they are part of a large chain in the north west, I would imagine that all the branches are run the same. I would change agents and perhaps review the price.

Did the EA write the property description? If so, they need to employ people who can actually string a sentence together grammatically. They have committed the 'comprised OF' cardinal sin. Looks horrible and SO unprofessional. I would be furious....

Agree with the comments about Bridgfords too. Unfriendly, unhelpful and totally disinterested in selling houses unless you want their mortgage.

Now I'm based in the SW of England, they are but a distant memory...;)

South coast posted somrthing recently, that has been rattling around my head. Under ask and see if several want it.

Offers over £99k. 2 open days with all the bargain hunters falling over each other. Then ask for best offers from buyers that can proceed.
Don't know if this tactic would only work with more 'unique' stuff though....but interesting approach to selling.
