    Hello from a newbie in the North East! I've been checking out the site for a while now and this is one of my favourite threads. Have had my advantage card for years but never used the machine to get points/offers (I hang my head in shame). But, motivated by the many posts on here this is what I've found so far:
    No problem in getting the H & B mags, got at least one from each store.
    Have used the Wisdom toothbrush coupon once, no cost and got 1p credited. The SA looked puzzled as I was buying a 20 pound gift card at the time and paid 19.99. I just gave her a sweet smile....then dared to ask her if this meant I got a haircare voucher, but no joy.
    Not too impressed to date by the points offers from the machine, just ended up printing off the S&G one but haven't decided what to buy yet.
    Started checking out the clearance shelves, best buy so far has been own brand Essential hairspray 300ml at 25p each (I got 4 cans and there was loads more of them).
    Tried a local store for No 17. No 342 offer on(!) so thought I'd buy a reduced item to get the free Lip Glaze but none to be seen and the SA said they didn't stock it.
    Its been a bit 'hit and miss' so far, but this is my first week bootsing and I'm sure my canny bargain hunting will get better. Thanks for your posts, I'm really amazed at the detail many of you give when explaining about the offers/points/glitches.

    Was in Boots twice yesterday and didnt get much! I got "the" toothbrushes and the expert soap bar and expert shave gel. Tried the soap and its really nice!. I will try the shave gel later and if its good will stock up! Also got the 2 tan powders and a 17 lipgloss for £1 but didnt try it in second Boots as it is in new packaging!!
    The security guard in St Enochs was following me, how embarrassing, I stared at him at one point and he looked away.

    Will take my toothbrushes back tomorrow(I am working) lunchtime.
    I need to use up about 6 £2 hair coupons as well.

    Does anyone recommend any Boots stores in central London? I'm off there on thursday.
    Going around Chelsea area, Oxford Street/ Carnaby Street area, covent garden and the train station of course!

    Thanks for the advice. I didnt try the new style one at the till just in case!!!! I will go back to Boots St enochs for more(and no doubt be followed by the SG again).
    My DD bought me Insolence shimmer for Easter and my main concern - did she use her Boots card? Of course says she!! I am training her well.
