Daily Chat Thread 13th March

Morning all! How's everyone today? I'm tired. Haven't slept properly since last thursday night. but on the bright side tonight I get to go pick up my ann summers kit. Need to nip down the post office later to look into putting up my ad and posting a couple of letters.
The girls are still bogeyed up to the eyeballs and K woke up in the night as I think she's teething as well. Poor chick. Hoping for a nice calm day....

Anyone else up to anything nice today?

    Morning I-A and all :D

I, too, am functioning on very little sleep this morning. I feel like I've been at work for a million hours already. Not quite sure how I'm going to make it through the whole day yet!

I'm longing for the sofa, my duvet and a big cup of tea

Hope you all have great days!

First party is April 10th. Haven't had chance to do much leafletting as the weather has been AWFUL. Need to nip down the post office in a bit so will see if I can do some then although I'll have the girls with me.

hey all, I'm feeling a bit brighter today, slept a bit last night so hopefully the jet lag is on the way out. I've been in one of my down in the dumps phases for the last couple of days but that's probably because I wasn't so good at taking my pills while I was away. So, I've paid a bunch of bills this morning, written letters to the accountant asking what the hell this court form for £4000 is all about, and to the DCA again asking what this £1200 to GE capital bank is for. I'm sure that's a mistake, aren't GE store cards and the like? I've never had one of those. And all of my credit cards which have been paid off had balances of waaaay over £1200 lol.

I'm ever so slightly toying with the idea of buying a house which has recently come onto the market again. I had no plans at all to buy but we currently rent in the best part of town and houses don't come up that often. If we did go for it it's the sort of place that we'd keep until we retire. Our town is a bit of a dump to be honest (I call it the village of the damned) but we live in the old town which is lovely and it's a 5 min walk to the train station which is mainline 20 mins into central london.

And yeah I know it's a shed load of cash for a terrace but that's the cost of living here. Of course we'd love to just up sticks and move to the US but work keeps on coming in and it's dead hard to turn it down. At the moment the Nashville place is rented out and earning an income. We've got friends in it who want to stay there for ever :) they keep asking that we sell it to them.

I dunno, I might change my mind by lunchtime.

Not long then...hopefully people at the party might then book one, fingers crossed!

If you can afford it I say go for it! I'd LOVE to be able to own our own home and not rely on the oh so wonderful housing association  .
If you US house is earning an income then it makes lots of sense to keep it and buy a house over here, that way you've got 2 houses and plenty of scope for the future!
