scary, this looks like a nice house but how does a couple on £50k combined income ever get to buy a house in these areas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My gas is well and truly flabbered!

edit: 2nd house, yip, nice curtainage!

It's the price we pay to live down south. Don't get me started on london prices, we're bargain basement compared to living in a decent area. And, by decent I mean, needing to go out to be mugged rather than waiting in for them to turn up.

:D so snags, fancy giving us a few million? I have a little deposit, ok so there's the small matter of us both being self employed in the rock solid music industry. Oh and the ever so tiny matter of a credit file that looks like the opening scene of saving private ryan. But I'm great at monopoly :rotfl:
    Um.......

Self employed isn't a problem, as long as you have 3 years certified accounts showing sufficient net profits to support a mortgage of that size.

As for the credit file.......what's a few late payments between friends, eh?? :rotfl:

But very achievable in the long term - last year you were paying in rent and debt repayments the same as that level of mortgage. So if the CAB pans out and Ste keeps being promoted it's a real possibility.
