Half regrets we never exploited renting - we wanted to stop renting ASAP because of the sh1tty landlords and hassles but if we'd have viewed the positives why didn't we go and live 6 months in London then Sydney then Paris rahter than a rather cr&ppy council estate? In my retirement I'd like to think we'll take on a series of 6 month rentals, the Italian lakes, Portugal, the Almafi Coastline - fancy myself as Byron.....well i agree with you there hun. maybe not gadgets and games but just having some disposable income would be nice once debt free, without becoming beholden to a mortgage straight away.
And mortgage payments are soooo much more than rent.
i think we may never own our own home, and then i tell myself that it won't be the end of the world....0 -
God Snaggles, that puts the £10 million ones here into the shade (the ones here only have a measly 5 bedrooms!)!!!

Sure....I think I will be needing a LOT of lodgers! :rotfl:immoral_angeluk wrote: »Can I be your lodger?
The mortgage would be nearly quarter of a million a month......INTEREST ONLY!!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
That's kind of our problem. Our house is my no means massive, and the girls have to share a room but it's fine for us while the girls are small and the rent is only £307 a month with a decent size back garden.... (notice the no mention of GRASS!)i think cause my house is rural with a mahoosive garden that i'm in no rush to leave there... and the rent is cheap.
if i still lived in my old crumbly council flat on the aberdeen ring road, then i might aspire but i love it where i am so it's not a priority.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
Que sera, sera.
