Thanks for the positive vibes everyone :)
We were told on Monday night about Pink and Whites biscuits, 1/2 a point each and they are pretty big, just had one with a cuppa and was really nice. Best part is that they are only 28p for 6 in Mr T's at the mo, MSE and WW friendly! HTH someone

Sian pink and whites are great, but I've never been able to just have one lol. I practically live on them having a least 6 throughout each day - however they are 1.5 points for 2, so 4.5 for the whole pack :D

Well I am disgusted with myself. I went to my local Weight Watchers and I am back to my weight in 2006. I had lost it all as well to get to goal in January 07, it took me 5 months to loose 2 stone 6lbs.

    I am back to being 12 stone 3lbs. I am 5ft 6 and only 23! I was shocked I was over 12 stone. :(

Today I have had the following:

    x1 Weetabix = 1 point
    x1 Shreadded Wheat = 1 point
    x1 creal bar = 1.5 points
Pint of skimmed milk (I worked out to be 3 points!! Which I thought was alot :()

    Apple juice = 1.5 points
Mug shot noodle (soon to replace with soups) = 3.5 points

Pineapple out of a tin = 1.5 points

Now I live at home, I dont know how to cook, mum cooks all my food. Last time I did WW I ate packet meals each night. I cant now as mum cant afford to buy them nor can I. SO its going to be guess work for her meals. SO I thought I would say 10 points for her meals. And have them to fit in a bowl as mum does not know small portions.

I am on 20 points a day. I do feel hungry though, is this normal? I cant remember how I felt last time.

    Hi Vikki,

I started at 12 stone on 21st March, I am now 10.10 at last weigh in (unfortunately a gain week but hey ho) I am 5ft 5 and 28 years old and I CANT COOK either :o

Firstly, have you tried to get your mum on side? Explained how you feel and what you want to do about it? Might be worth a shot...

If you can't get your mum to understand and believe me i know its hard I dont think just allowing 10 points for your mums dinners is going to work. If I have to eat something and have no idea whats in it sometimes I'll check my shop or eat out guide to find something similar, or I'll use the set points technique - have you got this? It's where you have a set amount of points decided by WW - you put this points value against each type of protein or carb in your meal then eat until you are satisfied. I guess that might work? If you need more info let me know - what do other WW peeps think of this?

I think you just need to be sensible - learn about portion sizes as a visual. for example I know roughly that 3-4 baby new potatoes is 1 point. A medium jacket potato, about the size of my fist is 2.5 points.

Drink plenty of water etc and only eat till satisfied not stuffed so it hurts ;) so so hard I know that too!!!

    Hope this can help bit?

Also I'm on 19 points now and have discovered zero point foods which I can fill up on - I dont have many points left for dinner so I'm having 3 fishfingers at 2.5 points and a pile of butternut squash chips at 0 points. Followed by a bowl of chopped strawberries (0.5 - weighed) and a big spoon of low fat ice cream (1 point) As you go along you'll find out what works for you and if you have any questions just ask us lot or take a look at the WW message boards on the website.

Wow you have lost loads quickly, have you been doing exercise? Thats something I dont do. I do an office job and sit down all day.

Yea mum, dad and sister all know I am back on ww, but mum is like a devil on my shoulder sometimes tempting me with treats. Thats where i'll use will power.

Yea food wise its not as if i can buy food to have as they will eat it lol

I think I know the plan you mean but I have always preferred points.

I really hope the ten points thing works, I have a little doubt though. I just got to think of things I can eat at home that are healthy and I know the points of?

What zero point foods are these? I want them!

    Thank puds :)

    Hi Vikki,

I'm still online to avoid me snacking - works well!

I've averaged a weight loss of a teensy bit over 1lb a week so not quick but actually just right :D

Set points is not the old core plan or the one without points...hang on let me get my book...oh I've just found a page on WW website - I'll PM it to you rather than cut and paste it here! Its not supposed to be for eating at home but when needs must! I cant post links yet.

I do exercise. I go to the gym for an hour 3 or 4 times a week. An hour is enough or I'll get bored and lose the will to live but its really helping I think. I sit at a desk all day too. Why not try a little jog or long walk or something to get you started - plug yourself into your ipod and off you go! Or exercise DVDs. Or even just walking to places that you'd normally drive to. Ive started walking the half hour to the high street when i'd always drive before - I use this time to phone my Gran :A

My main zero point food is butternut squash which I cut into chips but I've found low point snacky stuff for work which is in my desk drawer so I'm not tempted by the vending machine: ww bars and cookies, alpen light bars (1) options hot choc sachets, ww crisps or french fries/hula hoops/skips/quavers, apples... I'm sad I read my shopping guide in the evenings :o

I have ZERO will power - ate 3 viennese whirls yesterday on our girly road trip up to see Take That because I love them and no one wanted the last one and they were going to throw it away!!!!!!! Seriously zero will power -hence the essential gym visits.

Right going to watch sex and the city and head off to bed.

Well I'm eating a bag of WW savoury snacks while Im reading - only 1 point for a big bag :)

Vikki - whenever I go back to my parents, my mum tries to give me puddings etc, you just need to be firm & say no. Can you get your mum to cook you lean meat, chicken or pork. If she gives you a standard size piece that is very low in points.

Dont lose heart Vikki - I was stunned to be over 12 stone when I rejoined last month. I've now lost 9lbs - yay :D & am back on my way down to my 10 stone goal again. It might seem like a mountain, but you know WW works & you'll get there.

Vikki - a pint of skimmed milk is only 2 points.
Have a look at esource, you can look up loads of food on there, using the points tracker section http://www.weightwatchers.co.uk/index.aspx

Welcome Rose. You've made a great choice changing to WW. I guarantee that if you stick to it you'll lose that weight. Sure, it might take time, but you will get there. Good luck. :)
