Hi all,
Some terrific losses here well done! I'm not going to meetings or WIs but have been doing WW at home with the aid of the books (bought on Ebay) and a lot of willpower! Thankfully my OH is also doing WW so we spur each other on.
My start weight in the middle of Feb was 15st. I'm tall (5ft 9) but not tall enough to carry all that off! I haven't counted what I've lost each week but last weekend I hit the 2stone loss mark. I've tried to be very strict but I should also add that this is just a change of eating habit; I have barely been motivated enough to start a regular exercise plan yet!
I've given up quite a bit to lose the weight; I barely drink alcohol any more (and don't miss it- which is good! The only thing is I need my parents to support me more and be understanding that just because they like to drink doesn't mean everyone does).
I stopped eating cheese (which I was obsessed with - and miss dreadfully) and I've noticed that I don't miss things like bread which I have cut down on massively as well. I allow myself a few treat days - such as Easter, Christmas and OH and my birthday (my birthday is my motivation: I change decades shortly and didn't want to be fat and wobbly in doing so).
I read your gains and losses and I admire you all for persevering!
Now I have to try and find some decent soup recipes. Zero point soup is good, but I'm getting bored... what can I do with courgettes? (I've sorted the surplus of leeks that I have, ditto carrots and potatoes, but courgettes I struggle with...). I much prefer the creamier soups but like to try and keep my soups at 1 or 1.5 points for an easy lunch at work :-)
Have now bookmarked so hope to read more regularly!0 -
Vikki - you sound like me. I've been at goal twice before, & last time I maintained successfully for a couple of years. Then last year I hurt my back & stopped going to the gym & hey presto, 2 stone to lose to get back to my ideal goal <doh> At least we know it works, just have to get back on track & do it all again. Well done for deciding to go back & good luck
Puddings - do you eat your exercise points? I try not to do that, prefer to go for the bigger loss if poss. But options do help you with that chocolate craving. You need to have a "proper" chocoate treat every week, so you're not depriving yourself & to give you something to look forward to. I find I enjoy that bar of chocolate soooooooo much!
It's my WI tomorrow evening. I'm hoping I have a good loss to make up for staying the same last week even tho I'd been really good. Fingers crossed!0 -
Hi, please may I join in? I went to my first meeting tonight and am starting tomorrow so could use some moral support! I am not so strong on the discipline so will try to be accountable, think having to go and stand on some scales of truth will helpGod is good, all the time
Do something that scares you every day

hello everyone I didn't know there was a WW thread! I started going in march and was 15st 4lb, after 14 weeks I am now 13st 5.5lb so really hoping to get that one and a half off this week! I have been to download though and had burgers (tbf you can't take your own food in!) so am trying extra hard now.
I use this reciepe as its full of 0pt foods and its really filling, makes enough for 2 big portions too!
Slice up an aubergine into thin slices, bake for 12 mins at 200 degrees on a baking tray.
Meanwhile mist low fat cooking oil into a frying pan, when ready fry up 2 WW bacon rashers (1pt), 1 small onion, half a pepper (any color) and in another pan boil some broccoli. When the aubergine is baked, mist a small non stick oven proof dish with the cooking oil and place slices of aubergine so the bottom of the dish is fully covered, then layer on the bacon onion and peppers, then the broccoli, then pour a tin of chopped tomatoes over and even it out. Place the rest of the aubergine slices over the tomatoes so it is all covered, then sprinkle 30g WW cheese on top (1 and a half points) and bake for 12 mins still at 200 degrees.
Depending how much cooking spray you use the recipe ends up being between 3 and 4 points for the whole thing!
anyone else got any really low reciepes? please let me know if you try it0 -
Been busy this week so haven't been keeping up. Loads of new posts so just like to say welcome to all the newbies and well done to all the loosers. WI for me tomorrow so will need to be extra good today:rolleyes:.0

Oops, wrong group. Sorry x0

Welcome newbies! :j I can't believe how many we have in our WW gang now. The more the merrier! Well done on the losses so far. And with more of us, there's a whole heap more motivation and tips and recipes....:p
I am going to try that aubergine thing Mary when I feel in a cooking mood although last night I burnt bacon, then I burnt the WW bread rolls...then I gave up!
Moonflowers - I generally don't eat my exercise points cos, like you, I enjoy the bigger weightloss it appears to bring me however, I have Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays!!) completely off WW at the mo so I guess technically I use them all then but then I draw a line and get right back on...normally (we won't count last week!) This week I stayed within points on Saturday to try and make up for my huge gain but then Sunday night I was crying and ate a lot of ferrero rocher AGAIN. I have deicided not to try to 'claw back' but stick to my 19 points and my exercise and see what Saturdays Wi brings.
I do find that allowing myself a bad day I can generally cope each week cos I know Saturday will soon come around and I can treat myself again. I'm sure as I have less and less to lose that I may have to give up my bad day and ween myself down to one bad meal
Well in 2 and 3/4 hours I'm leaving work, popping to the gym and them going to see TAKE THAT!! Whoop. I have my dinner packed for the journey so I can be good too
Keeping my fingers crossed for all the weigh ins this week.
Puds xReally should be doing some work...0 -
