Gosh, quiet on here today! Think it might have something to do with the mini-meet.

Shame I have to work and couldn't go. I suppose the fact that I'm in London doesn't help either.

Hugs to everyone who needs them. I find it hard to keep up with threads and only get a slight gist of what's going on. Also hope all the people who couldn't sleep get on okay today. I'm not sure I could cope with not much sleep, I can sleep anywhere, anytime. And I'm awful if I don't get enough.

Haven't done anything OS today. Never do. Up at 5.30, and out the door by 6.30, so my OS is saved for evenings and weekends. Can't face doing anything in the evenings at the moment though, being 8 weeks pregnant is way more draining than I thought it would be!

I did have spag bol ready for dinner last night, but it didn't defrost, so it ended up being bangers and mash which is more effort than spag bol (don't ask, I'm tired and anything is hard, esp when you have four lazy men and yourself to cook for), so the spag bol is for tonight.

Was going to do ironing while everyone was at the pub last night, but decided snuggling up on sofa with doggie watching Eastenders was much more fun. It can wait till the wend.

Looking forward to maternity leave when I can go crazy OS!

    Morning All

Finally feel that I am getting back on top of things a bit at home, only taken me a week, and I'm still not there yet, but it's getting better at least! I am no longer considering hiring a cleaner to get me over the short term hurdles, Hubby has pitched in a lot this week & made a big difference & I feel like one day I will be able to cope again. Hopefully one day soon!
Thursday is my "me" morning for wanding around the local shops, especially the chairty shops (!), been to the butchers, pet shop etc, now having a cup of fairtrade hot chocolate in our local chairty cafe & using thier internet, off to pick up Spud from his 1st day back at nursery soon, then home to make a Moussaka for dinner & working this evening. Also got a load of washing on which will need hanging out when I get back & will put the hoover round.

    Happy Old Style Thursday everyone:beer:

Morning all................Just..........(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) if you need one.................

Budget......c*** does nothing for pensioners, an extra £50 on the heating allowence is laughable when the bills have gone up so much, for so many its the choice between eating and heating............I think they are trying to starve us or kill us off with hyperthermia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We ventured into town this morning, another rant coming up.......the bus stop is about 50 yds up the road, bus at the stop, saw us running and just pulled out and sailed by..........gggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ingnorant b****r..... sorry.....................

Bought all our fruit and veg from the market spent just under £10, but the fruit bowls is groaning with apples, pears and oranges. Bananas hanging up in the kitchen, grapes and salad in the fridge...........spuds and onions in the basket. We have just finished up the last of the summer onions from the lottie....I still have a couple of cloves of garlic left, but they will not last long in this house.

OH out this afternoon, so I am going to do a bit more to my first 'green' shopper.............

Tomorrow I will be away all day, have promised to go and do some cleaning for my friend who had the knee op.......she was toiling with the house in a mess before she went into hospital, she has had a new heating system and also a new kitchen, so everything got shoved in the conservatory...........

Not a bad morning weatherwise, a bit chilly, but at least the wind has died down.

Lunch, the remains of the leek and lentil sop with french bread.......supper mushroom and bacon omlette and salad, banana split/baked for afters.

Hope the mini meet goes ok today chaps, photos asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hmmm client came, nails done.

Then I went out and got my feet done. Thought I would stop at Aldi on the way home. Stupid move as I hadn't done my shopping list yet! OR menu plan!

They don't have any 70% or over chocolate at the mo! Boo hoo! Found plenty of course, their super 6 grapes, apples and oranges, plus some veg for the weekend. Those vanilla pods also as they were on special. The couple staying on Sat night like their food and wine, so I thought we would do some real vanilla ice cream to go on rather a nice recipe from a last year's Delicious mag. It's called something like 'grown up brownie with fudge sauce!'

I keep telling myself I need to decide what to cook on Sat night. I had 4 hours in the car yesterday when I thought about it but didn't decide. It's a funny week this week as far as meal plan is concerned, entertaining, kids here there and everywhere as it's the last week of term. I'm away next THursday for a week. It's better if I shop for them before I go LOL!

I think I will have to visit meal plan thread next. See you there later!

afternoon all sorry havent had time to put the puter on this week so ive missed loads
been rushing round and trying to get the house in some sort of order. We have too much clutter that no one wants to part with, and ive actually got no ironing left to do, which is a rare occurance for me.
going to do a pizza for tea not sure if DD2 is home tonight or not but DS1 has something on tonight so have to do early tea

    Hope everyone is well
hugs for all those who need one

THe budget was rubbish, the government arent cared about the environment they are just using it as an excuse to get more money off us, i've recycled for years (even before they did collections) we used to save newspapers and ali foil and take it to a recycling place in Leicester and get paid for it, then as recycling grew the price dropped so that they couldnt pay for it any more. We have a landrover (gasguzzler) but have 4 kids still at home so apart from when DH goes to work its usually full of people as he often ferry them and their friends about.THey are fleecing the older people they should be looking after the fuel allowance wont even cover half of what bills have gone up and i hardly think my inlaws will act like drunken revellers in the street unless the price of gin goes up to slow their drinking down

Oh PP - try not to worry. :o

the worst that you will suffer is boredom I am sure! You'll have to pack an anti-boredom kit - magazines, chocolates, books, perhaps a small project on something? :T

have all my fingers and toes crossed for you xxxxx
