Price of heating oil

It shocked me when I ordered some this week. The same quantity bought in December (only 3 months remember) cost nearly £76* less    !

*inc 5% VAT

This lot should last us till December again hopefully though.

Don't think op was saying that they had paid £76 for their oil. Think they were saying that it cost them £76 more than it did in December, so I'm guessing it was a reasonable quantity like 1000 litres they ordered.

We had the same nasty shock we were qoted almost £500 for 1000L, looking back the same amount last year was £380!!! We took the decision that oil is unlikely to reduce in price to what it was a couple of years ago any time soon so we are converting to solid fuel. Just bought a new stove that will heat our water and all our radiators for £600 inc delivery from ebay - not much more that a tank of oil! Husband is a plumber so will be installing it over the summer.

That's right. At 8p per litre more than it was in December our bill for 900 litre of heating oil came to £448.88 exactly
