The problem with clothes can be that it's very cheap to buy some of them new, job lots can be the way to go. Saying that, I buy almost all of my clothes on eBay as it's cheaper than charity shops!
Good clear picture, mention the size (often people forget this) and use a gallery photo (currently free).
As for what's selling well: I'm doing really well with my vintage clothing, but my bike only just scraped past it's reserve. I'd say sell what you've got lying around and see how it goes.

I'm new to this board, can I join you all?
My target is £300 a month, it's been ok so far because OH had some computer bits to sell but it seems that we're getting to the end of them. I've also cleared out my kid's cupboard, and mine! The flat feels almost empty :p
One day I will learn to have a better system...one day......
I have a big moving box by my desk and a shelf where I stack the stuff I list. That way I have it ready to go.:D
As a new ebayer, wondered if anyone has any tips on listing and what is selling well at the moment. I tried with clothes a while back but no luck. Any tips appreciated.
Very good large photos (or clickable thumbnails) and very detailed descriptions, go through the items in details, fabric composition, size, measurements...
Job lots have been working well for me recently.
Study closed listings to see what works, pay attention to the search keywords
Start by listing items with lower valuer to build up your feedback profile.

    hope this helps!
Got rid of all my credit card debt, reduced crazy utilities bills, learned to budget, and now trading down to a smaller property. Lurking around the DIY forum.
  • Hi everyone.

I joined this challenge ages ago, and then did nothing about it! Sorry :o .

Anyway, I've pulled myself together and have, at last, started to list again. I've sold a couple of things recently, and have another item finishing next week which should bring in a small amount.

I've taken some photos of other things, so will try and list them this weekend.

    I will stop faffing!
