Shame I missed the start of this great mad challenge.
I have not yet taken part in any challenge on here but this one sound like it could sort a few problems out for me. I will make a list of items that i'm thinking of selling and then start on the weekend.
I really hope it goes well. How you all doing so far then?
Here goes....:beer::oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

Sorry to post again so soon but I just had forgot a question I had.
How much do you really need to sell an item for to cover your e-bay fees and paypal fees. Because this always catches me.
I sold something the other day thinking I would just want to make a pound above what I paid for it and then the paypal fees were 41p.
Hope you can help. Cheers:oCurrent Debt £38,000:o

These two should help you
https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/fees.html
They tell you what the fees are for both Ebay and PayPal so you should be able to work out the total costs of fees before you list your items0 -

Hi all
Well I have sold around £80 so far (not sure what the actual profit is yet) and the items I have listed are at £70 at the moment all ending on Saturday evening. This is great, especially as we have just arranged a mortgage with a £599 arrangement fee so I will need all the sales I can get.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Have you done that unlimited thing with PayPal, with the two sets of numbers on your statement? Did that 2 weeks ago when I hit my limit... Can't say it's made much difference (apart from being able to move money around!)
I can't bear/bare (clever people - could you tell me which spelling is used here?!) to sit down and list when I could be on the beach... I'm off to get my wellies
Bare ...i've got 25 things going out on thurs - gawd it takes a lot of effort - to list /post/answer questions but very nice when the money slowly piles up.0 -
Now I look at it I think it might be bear --- arrggghhh I blame the listing0
