Thanks Carlih1. I've photographed some stuff, including records, to list tonight. Onwards and upwards.

How's it going kashton? I see from your signature you've made £1613 already. Is that all from Ebay? Well done.

I listed some cd's today using the quick sell, if you have the bar code or artist name and title it sometimes fills in the information as well as a photo? Might be worth checking out before your take pics of all your vinyl! I've got loads of them to sell too!

A tip when selling vinyl is make sure that you accurately state its condition, and don't be saying its 'excellent' and 'mint' if it isn't. Collectors are very particular about the condition the vinyl is in and if you make them sound better than they are, you could end up with a lot of very unhappy customers.
  • This is a great idea. I'm in!! Aiming for £1000 to start off with, just rooted out a ton of books that I don't want or need any more. With all the wealth of knowledge here, does anyone have any hints on what's selling & what isn't? It's just that 1000 items is quite a lot to find.........

Got to make you laugh tho, DH came downstairs this morning and said have you seen my wedding ring, was on the bedside table and now its gone, quick as a flash my 6 year old DS said "Best check Ebay if its not nailed down Mums selling it!!!!", aww blesss.

    It's true:rotfl: .

Not good is it. Buyers will be able to get away with anything as sellers won't want to risk a neg. Buyers patience will get even shorter, you can just see it now, item doesn't arrive 3 hours after they've won so after 3 days they leave a neg for slow delivery cos they know they won't get one back despite the fact that by then their item should have showed up.

It will ruin selling, thats why I am getting all my selling done now, because from May, its going to be awful!

Thank you for this. I think your vision could become a very sorry reality. Sellers must get a right of reply - we're already fleeced by ebay and paypal - bring back swap shop!

I've just listed 7 items and it took me all evening. I don't know how you guys do 20 at a time. That's enough for now, let's just hope they find buyers.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (its a long thread) but most debtors will take a reduced amount for a one off payment.

My hubby owed £15,000 (roughly) and was told if he could make a one off payment to clear they would take 12k

Worth ringing your debtors/creditors and asking what amount they would take if you were to make a one off payment.

I have some items for ebay and have downloaded the turbo lister. Does anyone know when the next cheap listing day is?

I personally wouldn't use City Link - I waited in for them to collect 4 parcels last year - They were in contact with the buyer of my stuff and told her they'd come but I wasn't in! They generally can't be bothered with rural addresses! Ended up using a "Man with a Van" from eBay... He was fab, but can't remember his name

Just told another pair of vintage shoes!!! Another £15 towards £1000!!! :D
