Wahoo, sold my only buy it now for £60, yay, cash on collection so no paypal charges even better. Have 30 other things listed now, they are at £6.73 so far. This is so exciting, never challenged myself on ebay before. Always just listed and see what happens, this is so much more fun.

  • Hi guys, I'd love to join this challenge. After reading all through this thread last week, it gave me the motivation to list some of the stuff I've been collecting for yonks in my 'for ebay' box! Only managed to list 3 items so far, but one has now got a bid of 99p, whoop! I know, I'm easily pleased, but I have to start somewhere!

Think I'll aim for a target of £250, so only £249.01 to go
much work to be done - new sig coming soon...

You really really shouldn't accept paypal if the item is being collected.

Imagine the scenario, someone buys your item, pays via paypal, and then comes and collects it.

A few days down the line, they file an item not received dispute, and you cannot prove to paypal that they collected it, paypal will refund their money, they keep the item, and you are left with nothing.

Even if you got them to sign a piece of paper, took a photo of them taking it away, paypal won't accept this as proof of delivery during a dispute, just a tracking number from Royal Mail.

Paypal is there to protect buyers and to screw over sellers, trust me, I know!

I have put on the actual item that it is COD, but ebay will not allow me to take the paypal option off the item as I don't have enough feed back yet, but it does say COD only in main bit of blurb on item and I am hoping that people will stick to it:confused:
