Well done JD! That's fab! :T
I imagine that payment a day must be really adding up. I might start about doing something similar like a payment a week if I get myself organised! That way I think it would feel more rewarding as opposed to making 1 payment a month the day before payday, even if they are for the same amount it would be nice to see it coming down on a more regular basis.
I think I will just have to make minimum payments from my November wages to cover Xmas pressies. At least if I do this, this year will be the first in that everything 'should' get paid upfront and not go onto any cards. I hope that is the case!
Do you have many to budget for for Xmas? I only have one DD so I put her money away for birthday and Xmas once a month and next year I think I might add to that to cover the whole family...do you do something similar?:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

            hi donner:wave:
the list for xmas is endless! i have roughly 20 people to buy for this year:eek:
i have already bought most of my children prezzies, courtesy of ebay (mainly 2nd hand games)
i have £65 on post office savings club, this should cover about 8 presents. i am going to buy these on monday:)
which leaves 8 left to buy for. have most of these figured out already though, just a matter of waiting until december when I have allocated the rest of the xmas money to be spent:)
managing to get through xmas without increasing debt or putting anything on cards is a huge achievement so well done! i managed to do it the first year i joined mse and have kept with it every year since. its such a relief not to have any extra bills in january:)November NSD's - 70

20 peeps! That's loads! I think I will be looking at ebay for my pressie buying too, best start sooner rather than later though as imagine prices will start to soar on ebay too! Well done on being so organised! :T Hopefully by next year I will be a lot better than I am this year. I really don't want to put anything on cards as am trying so hard to pay them off. This is my first DFW Xmas so am really hoping it goes well! Wouldn't be nowt worse than extra bills in January like you say so am gonna try really hard! I reckon I could just about do it especially as everyone and their dog knows how skint I am! Well done on being so organised! :T Hopefully by next year I will be a lot better than I am this year. Shame that I won't be able to make extra card payments that month but far better than having to fork out more interest and money on the cards! I need to look at getting some cheap deccies for the house too. I own the HUGEST cat in the world, average cat should be 3-5kg my cat Buzz was 8.5kg at his last weigh in and he is only 3 and still growing! He tried to climb the tree last year and would not leave it alone and his weight broke the bottom branches and now it is a right-off! I loved the idea of the upside-down trees they had out last year but they were something like £100  so deffo couldn't get one!!! I know some online shops like Firebox used to sell big lifesize posters of Xmas trees so may end up with one onf those :rotfl: but hopefully not!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

dont worry too much donner, each year ive got better organised than the last:D
I love the idea of xmas tree posters lol maybe i should get one instead of a real tree!!!
today turned into a spend day. got ds3 a pair of trainers (£10) and my dad came round with some tobacco for me (£35) thats just about cleared me out of cash until next week now! never mind, the tobacco will last me until xmas:)
have decided to do my grocery shop for this week online as had a code for 750 points:D paying with my CC+ and green points for no bags i will get a decent points total for that shop!
Made curry this evening with a 9p curry sauce, half a small bag of rice i had in the cupboard and a couple of chicken breasts from the freezer! kids loved it:D have leftover rice now in fridge.
I also cooked up some sausages as ds3 wont eat things like curry and now have leftover cooked ones for sausage sarnies for lunch tomorrow!
will be digging down deep in the freezer tomorrow to see what other treasure i can find! i am really eeking out everything this month as i really want some leftover cash from the GC to pay to the ISA:DNovember NSD's - 70

I really hope I can get more organised each year...with life in general as well as Xmas!
What was the curry sauce like? Is that the Sainsburys one as think they do a jar for 9p? I thought about getting on and adding a few spices if it is not hot enough?
I too plan to use up everything that I can food wise. I really want to get rid of my Lloyds TSB credit card by the end of the month as would be fantastic! So am really trying to cut down on the foodie spends. I have said to my DD Emily that we are likely to end up having really random food combinations this month so that we can save on the cash! I have some chicken legs in the freezer, thought I might cook those and then scrap of the meat to put in a curry? Hopefully would get a fair bt of meat off and would be nicer than eating them plain!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0

it was a tescos value one, been sitting at the back of the cupboard for ages!! Im having a use up month too:D
Have just placed an online order with tescos (incl 750 extra points:D) so far it comes to £122, but thats nearly a whole months shopping:) i will def be having weird food combos this month! this order should be delivered on wednesday:) On thursday i will probably go to tescos myself to pick up all the things they didnt bring me lol and our fresh f&v for the week (or i may go to the market in town and see what their prices are like.....)
if i can come in underbudget this month, which i shall try my hardest to, then i will be happy! It all takes a little thought thats all....
I am also planning on starting a tescos price book, as they seem to change their prices all the blinkin time. Tuna is on offer this week (half price and i dont like the value stuff) so am planning on buying in bulk so that i never have to pay full price again! oh and UHT milk has gone up from 41p to 54p this week:eek: how they can justify that kind of increase i dont know! i may forgo the milk on my order as have at least a weeks worth in stock and hopefully it will come down again!:D
Donner, you are doing really well, how lovely it will be to be debt free!!! i cant wait until i am again:) if you can sort the money out, do try payment a day.... its such a simple and brilliant concept! maybe in january??November NSD's - 70
