Hope you have a lovely evening donner - i love cake!:D

Have had a look at payments to cc and feel i could up this in december! Ive really got to the point now where I cant abide giving the banks a single penny in interest...i want them to pay me!!:)

Tesco delivery should be here shortly, then it all has to be put away:(

My money pot is looking healthy now, almost £10.00 in there! I am tempted to pay this off the creditcard instead of sticking it into savings though. I dont think my savings for november will quite reach 4% as I am really hammering the debt this month.

Waiting for my amazon payment to clear through my account, will probably send this £10 to the Isa though.

Checked when my MOT and car insurance was due today. I will def be paying the insurance in full next year. About £40 of the total payment this year was for the 'privilege' of paying by direct debit:eek: wont be doing that again!!

    £3.50 to creditcard
    £1.00 to pot

signature has been updated! I cant believe I have paid off over £50 extra this month already and I havent even noticed it going!

I have a meeting up the school this morning and then off to slimming club! I dont think I have lost anything this week, I expect I have put on...(all those halloween sweeties:D)

I shall probably spend the rest of the morning in the kitchen baking goodies for the kids lunchboxes! Shocked its thursday alredy...where has the week gone??!

  • Morning Jamie!
I overslept yesterday as my alarm didn't go off and I woke up at 7.06am!! Today it went off at 5.50am and I've come down and had a quiet coffee whilst putting a chilli in my crock pot.

Well done on your PAD this month and the pot. What is the idea with PAD? Do you literally log on to internet banking and transfer a payment to your credit card every day? And why do this every day and not once a month for a larger amount? Is it the psychological aspect of knowing you're doing a little something every day? And that £3 going out of your account is not alarming whereas £50 is?

I have an Egg Money card that is cleared in full by direct debit each month and my debt is my car loan but you can't make ad hoc payments to that, it's just the agreed £128 per month. So I guess all I can do is the pot?

Yes it's Thursday, but it has really dragged for me so I am glad it is LOL!

Have a lovely baking morning - I'm jealous!

    morning wendy:)

I make the minimum payment to my cc every month and a payment a day. this means i am always paying more than the minimum and you dont notice small amounts going out of the account everyday:) this is done via internet banking

I also make a payment out of my purse to my pot, which will also be used to make an overpayment when it adds up to enough. this encourages me to always live on less!

what you could do is make a PAD into a savings account and wait until it is enough to pay your loan off early:)

had a lovely afternoon baking with dd. made some chocolate chip fairy cakes and pink icing ones too and a big batch of twinks hobnobs.

dinner was a mixed bag. used up some nuggets and fish fingers and made up some pitta bread pizzas, there was one pitta left so i made it into another pizza and ds1 will be having it in his lunchbox tomorrow:)

Got some mince and raspberries out of freezer and put in fridge to defrost, hopefully will make muffins tomorrow and will make up a chilli for over the weekend. oldest two boys not here for dinner on fri or sat, im out for a curry sat night, so will probably make the chilli on sat morn for sunday evening dinner.

think i may make a raspberry and rhubarb crumble for sun night pud:) my fav!

have juggled the budget around again today. i think i can move the debt free date to feb 09 now. This will mean a very tight couple of months for us but will be well worth it.

    hi pap:wave:

just get a pitta bread, grill it for a couple of mins, spread over tomato puree, add grated cheese then stick under grill to cook:D my kids love them and i often make up extra for lunchboxes, obviously you can add toppins, i would add mozzarella if i have some or a bit of ham or whatever you like:)

Well done on that pound off Jamie! Very near target now and bet you will be chuffed when no more paying out for weigh ins :)

Glad you enjoyed your baking! I have been thinking about trying to teach my DD Emily how to cook. She is 12. My dad brought me and my brother up on his own and never showed us how to cook anything, so was very hard when we both left home as neither of us could cook anything! Bless him! I think it would be good for Emily to learn and perhaps she would be more likely to eat it!

We both had left overs today as really didn't want to have to buy any food! It's good when I am properly focused on the money!

Also well done on that debt free date! That is awesome! :) I am gonna be around for a LONG time paying mine off but can't wait for the day when I can say it is only a couple of months away!
