I though it was about time I wrote something on here!:)
Things are going well at the moment.... I am slowly tucking away a little bit each week to pay off my dad also paying into an account to save for the start of the 2009 4k challenge.
I have also joined the payment a day thread and am starting to make a small payment off my cc each day.
These little efforts will hopefully make a big difference next year!November NSD's - 70 -
also wanted to say I am paying off a little each day to my overdraft too!
I think I am on track for a good 2009:)
Most of 2008 birthday prezzies are bought and paid for. Taking my 2 best friends for dinner at cafe rouge for their birthdays in 3 weeks courtesy of clubcard deals:)
I have made a good dent in the childrens xmas prezzies and am bidding for a few things on ebay for them atm.:D They said they didnt mind second hand games etc for xmas so I am keeping my eye out!November NSD's - 70 -
Ive got up bright and early this morning to make my payments a day.....
£10 off my overdraft
£3 off my credit card
£2 towards my 4k challenge savings
feeling very positive atm:D
Won a christmas present for ds1 on ebay last night, he is going to be really pleased with that!!!
Will be going over next years budget again today (taking into account all the payment I will be making this year) this will lower the amounts I will be paying out next year:)November NSD's - 70 -
Have just logged on to my internet banking and have made a payment of £2 off my creditcard:)
Thats 4 days in a row now!
Hoping to make a £40 payment to my overdraft tomorrow as I dont want to start getting charged for not paying in the minimum amount each month.
Got outbid on another xmas prezzie on ebay last night, oh well, I will just keep bidding on them until I win one at the amount Im willing to pay! I never sway from my original maximum bid!:D
Today is wet and murky so we wont be going anywhere! ds1&2 are going to their dads so it will just be me and ds3 and dd at home, I have the rest of the kitchen to empty (although I am nearly there!)
Have decided to take the older two to see holiday on ice in january....Im taking my mum too and treating her. This will come out of next years Holidays/Days Out budget....I havent been for years and neither has my mum. The boys have been watching videos of previous years on youtube!!:DNovember NSD's - 70 -
Have finished clearing out the kitchen:D There is kitchen stuff everywhere in my house and I think flylady jobs are going to have to take a back seat this week!
I have a few aims for 2009:
- to be able to pay my car insurance in full which will mean less money coming out of the budget and also taking advantage of quidco which will put some money in my xmas neutral fund!
- to buy another year car tax instead of 6 months saving a little bit (did that this year)
-set up a s/o into my savings account of £50 per month
- use clubcard vouchers to offset days/meals out using deals
thats all I can think of atm.
Rejigged this budget so many times now I think I will be dreaming about it

Good luck with the kitchen work Jamie - we had ours done at start of the year and kitchen was actually out of use for two weeks, bad enough for us three adults can't imagine what would be like with you and 4 kids:eek:
Get plenty of stuff in for kids for drinks as awkward when you can't get at the taps, and keep an empty washing up bowl handy for dirty dishes/cups. Apart from that we just made the best of it and had occasional tea from chippy;)0 -
Thanks SM:)
I think we will be ok, I am going to be using the remoska to cook our dinners in and will be doing the washing up as we use it lol
They are going to be working 8-4 so most of the time the kids will not be here. the neighbours have been very kind and said that we can come over to them any time we like, bless em!November NSD's - 70 -
Up early as usual although I do need to be this morning! The kitchen guys will be here in less than 2 hours so I need to get my bum in gear!!

This payment a day lark is good!
Filled out the form to send off for my clubcard deals and will send off today....got some pizza hut vouchers and some ten pin ones.
Also changed up some to airmiles for our holiday planned for 2011:DNovember NSD's - 70 -
