I'm hoping the bath is save-able.... is that a word?!
I have some Stardrops so will give it a try. The washing powder didn't seem to do much but I had a good scrub of my daughter's bath toys with it while I was up there so it wasn't a complete waste of time!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

I have an old school white enamel bath and have tried just about everything to get rid of these unpleasant stains etc. The only thing i found that actually works is Flash magic erasers (although if you can find the Duzzit brand, they seem to work bit better). It requires some cold water and a bit of elbow grease. Your bath will sparkle in no time!

Well, I used the Stardrops and it performed a miracle!! It is shiny and new looking again and I didn't even have to scrub too hard. I squirted it directly onto a wet sponge and rubbed the marks and it came up like new.
The marks were worst where the soap drainer was as it had been draining down into the bath causing a build up of soap residue and limescale, but it's lovely now.
Thanks everyone for your tips.. I would've tried each one if the Stardrops hadn't worked. :TI'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

We're currently refitting our bathroom and it's pretty much done now. I've just replaced the bath taps but the bath is now looking even more tired than it did before. There was a bit of a limescale build up around where the taps were which I managed to scrape off but in honesty theres a few years worth of thin limescale build up over the whole bath. It's in good condition despite this so I didn't see any point in replacing it. We generally clean the bath with Cif after using it but can anyone suggest a cleaner that's gunna get it gleaming for a few more years?
I was thinking perhaps soda crystals, citric acid or something similar.0 -
Squirt vinegar all over it, leave for a few hours then rinse, it'll gleamBulletproof0
