Hello All
Placed an order for 2M with E7 on the 12th July as my exchange was to be enabled on the 20th (ha ha!!).
BT wholesale really took the mickey, gave four different reasons for the delay, and became very unhelpful! I even complained officially to OFCOM, but not holding my breath on that one!
Anyway, E7 have been absolutely fantastic.
They contacted me nearly every day with an update, and really 'turned the screws' with BT when they were being obstructive.
Because I had cancelled my dial-up for the end of July, E7 even arranged free dial-up access until my broadband order was complete.
I was activated today without any problems, and Paul from E7 spent time successfully answering my 'broadband router' questions.
Speed is great.
It is obviously early days yet, but if E7 continue to offer this kind of service, I can see me being with them for a long time.
Not sure if that is good news for them or not!
Anyway, that's my honest experience so far.
Cheers

Just to add a postscript to my earlier happy posting.
Having signed up to that 512Kbps doubled to 1Mbps for 2yrs with free connection/modem at £240, e7even have subsequently told me my exchange is being upgraded in c6wks time and offered me 4Mbps for the remaining 21m of my contract for a one off upgrade fee of just £60, ie net cost of c£13pm for an unlimited 4Mbps connection, plus benefit of 400Kbps upload speed for outgoing mail, videoconferencing etc!
I wondered how they were going to give me 4Mbps when previously BT claimed I couldn't have beyond 1Mbps - but they replied within 2.5 hours reassuring me my line had been tested and was 4Mbps eligible as part of the exchange LLU upgrade.
So I'll be getting 8 times the performance for half the price I was paying BT 6m ago! Very well pleased e7even consumer here.
AND they've offered me a deal with Touch Telecom for unlimited 01/02 phone calls for a year at £49 - ie 13p/day = a splendid value which I'm considering.
All I can say is thanks to Mike for drawing e7even to my attention here on MSE, and for sharing his referal reward with me as promised.0
