God its becoming a struggle to save, the last couple of months havent been great with the OH having lazer eye surgery and having a big bill for her car and me buying a projector and speakers for my future cinema room but it was all planned I suppose.

Need to get back on track for the next few months until we have hit our target then we can relax a bit and we might actually start looking at some houses!

I do a payment a day, little and often helps it build up, even if it's only £1.50. I also do the £10 a day challenge, and all money from that goes straight into the house ISA, which means we get to put litteish chunks in throught the month.

Have not been doing the payment a day this year myself, since I tightened up the budget, and there is nothing to make it out of lol, but sweep anything left at the end of a payperiod into savings of some kind, just not always house savings.

Its a great thing to see though, money going in everyday.

Set myself a goal to make $1200 this year above and beyond my income, which can go into savings too. Mainly online selling, etc.

A projector and speakers wouldn't be a very high priority I'd have thought. But each to their own! I don't really 'get' gadgets. Hope they weren't too expensive...

Well that was a crazy week! Started a new job on monday, but ive just quit and my old place are taking me back!

I was really misled about the new job, and it is a pure telephone support role. Im not willing to do that for 3 years (which is minumum time before promotion) even if it is a big company. I didnt get a 1st class degree to be a phone monkey

Back to my old job in 2 weeks time.

No I think you've done the right thing by the sounds of it. What did they say when you told them you felt misled?? Good job the old place is letting you go back!

They were really snooty and said i would ahve to apply for a different role again if i wanted to change. I told em to shove it, phoned my old boss and asked for my old job back :p

Its a shame coss the prospects in a much bigger company are better. But im not willing to do something i hate for 3 years to get a better paid job doing something i hate.
