Hmm. DH wnts to view house out of budget nd I'm digging my heels in. Hving felt before so close to buying something else (which we only ruled out with huge reluctance) I don't feel I can cope with the emotion of falling in love with something out of budget.
However much we save it doesn't seem like enough0 -
I have a few above budget in my Rightmove saved list just in case they drop enough but daren't look at them because one's bound to be perfect and sour my views of all else!
(One would have to drop by nearly 200K but it is sooo lovely I just keep it there in case of property apocolypse :rotfl:)
Congrats Head in Clouds

Hi guys I can't remember if I have already joined this thread...if so here is an update, if not here are my details! Engaged to lovely boy, living in a shared (very small) flat in Manchester, paying £350 rent between us. We take home about £1150 a month each. At the moment we are saving £250 a month each for a deposit, I am also saving the following: £50 ISA £30 Odds and Sods account £10 wedding fund £20 holiday fund This really does make it look like I could afford to save so much more but I never have any money left at the end of the month so I need to buckle down and work out why. We were going to get married next April but have decided to postpone and focus on saving for a deposit instead - we currently have £6000. Hoping this thread will give me the encouragement I need to get this sorted out faster! I was originally a member of the Debt Free Wannabe board but managed to get a £2500 over 36 month loan paid off in 10 months so I can do this if I put my mind to it! Good luck everyone xxMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Hi can I join? I currently have saved up £23,000 and am looking to buy a flat eventually. As I still live at home with parents (I'm 22) I only have to pay £160 a month and can usually save a lot out of my £1,000 a month pay. Am hoping to have £35,000 saved up before getting a mortgage. I'm currently single so its me saving up on my own.Competion Wins 2008 - £1700 - 2009 £5300

Got paid yesterday :j, so transferred some savings over. I also had a couple of paypal payments, one for £25 and the other for £3 from Perks.com, now I'm not quite sure why I've got these but the last time I had anything from them was about 10 months ago and that was for 2 payments of only £5 each. I think it may be from a survey site but I'm not expecting anything
. I've sold some other little bits on ebay and amazon, so it's all adding up nicely.
head_in_clouds - Just have to say that it rocks being married to my DH :kisses2: . You'll love it too!!

Hello All!
The saving continues my end, just like the rest of you!
Have approximately 12k saved up now. Currently get paid £970 a mnth, but will be getting £1300 a mnth when i start my full time teaching job in September. [5wks until officially qualified!] :T
Am single and living with my parents [They are very good to me, i dont pay actual rent but i do buy food and house sit alot of the time, as they are always on holiday!] Therefore, i am able to save a lot a mnth. I save between £400-£450 a mnth at present. Hoping to increase this to between £700-£800 from september.
Have managed to save enough alongside the house fund, to pay out my car insurance in a lump sum. Saved £130 thanks to comparethemarket.com!:j and have just paid for a yrs car tax as well!
Occasionally feel like i may never get a place of my own, but the journey continues! [And as my dad keeps telling me, not many pple manage to save 12k while at uni for 4 yrs!]
