We've got everything too. I think we need a new sofa at some stage but that can wait. Just had all new white goods so that should see us thorugh for a few years.
I've decided to try starting up a childmiding business from home so I can stay at home and work but still spend time with my son. I'm going on the initiall course on 30 march/6th april- IF there is a cancelation so keep you fingers crossed for me!!!! I'm SO excited!
We could save loads more if I was working too.
Been playing with the calculator all day...I know how to live...

Most of my overflow from my ISA is in an account at 2.5%. I dont know if i can be bothered to switch for a max of 1% more than cud easily drop

Depends how much you have saved I guess. 1% more on ten grand is a hundred quid extra a year. I know it's pretty small fry and it's not going to change your life or anything, but if someone gave me a hundred quid I'd be pleased, if someone took a hundred quid off me I'd be a bit miffed... Actually, a bit less than a hundred after tax, but it's still something for nothing.

I won't chase higher rates if it means using a foreign bank, and I include Irish in my definition of 'foreign' :rotfl:

I've just opened up a Britannia HomeSaver account so I am now officially saving for a deposit.

Any money in any of my savings accounts except for my ISA's and £100 in each of the other accounts will be transferred into this account.

I opened it yesterday with £250.
