    Amazing stuff Jackies!

Payday update from me, had £100 left so that's gone in. Along with this month's SO makes the total £1574.58 so far! Got some ebay pennies to go in shortly but shan't count them til ebay/paypal have syphoned their bits off. Looks like I'm easily going to hit my first target before December!

    £1574.58/£2k = 78.7% (first target - December 2012)

I have a hen weekend costing €130 plus petrol (although i'm hoping my passenger give me generous petrol money) and spends to go to and a £65 electric bill to pay, so its still going to be tight with the £300!

Managed to deposit £90 in the fund today following on from my ebay weekend sales. Sold 10 things but severely underestimated the postage on all of them and the two most expensive items totalling over £400 in retail value and unused in original packaging went unsold!! At least it was a clear out!!

    Stupotstu

P.S However, as I was off work today I decided to book a two night camping trip with other half for a mid summer weekend away which somehow got out of hand and instead of a two night camping trip became a two night stay in a Boutique Hotel in London!!!

    Hi Guys,

I've only just noticed this thread.

I'm also saving for a deposit - but I don't have a strict target amount. I've got an initial target of £20k, but the more the better. The plan is to asses the situation when I hit the £20k mark (do I need to move, what are houseprices doing, etc)

Currently stashing a minimum of £1000 a month into savings minimum. Anything left at the end of the month gets swept into savings too.

    Current savings: £11,500

I should get paid tomorrow and will stash another £1000. However an overpayment looks unlikely this month after getting a high Credit Card bill (!!!!!!! fuel costs, and yes, I pay off the full balance each month).

Pay day for me today. Total is now £69,400 - should be £70,000 within the next 2 weeks.

I'm 27 and hubby is 25. We are both still living with our parents (I know I'm too old for it) and this is hopefully speeding up the process of saving. He is much better with money than me but I am improving:o.

My deposit savings are in my signature and I aim to save approximately £800 a month. July will be a better month because of work bonus so I'm aiming for about £1100. Hubby has about 7k saved but progress is slow on his side of things since he took a pay cut so we are aiming to save as much we can on my salary.

We are aiming for 20k by Dec 2011. We hope to rent together beginning of next year for at least 6 months before we buy to ensure we are comfortable with the area before we can commit to a mortgage (area is new to both of us but good schools and great transport links). We don't really have a figure in mind but we know we will need more than 20k in the area we are aiming for. :(
