Update from me, I now have £19,150 - saved a little bit less this month due to some extensive surgery on my mountain bike. Hoping to get to £25,000 by October 2011. I will then have a look at the housing market and decide if the time is right to buy or bide my time....0

It's very exciting seeing the figure in my signature going up, especially as my money is scattered across loads of different accounts so I don't usually see the total.
I've got a spread sheet which has all my saving accounts listed with a total at the bottem. At the side I've got another box which has how I've split the total: deposit, housebuying fees, emergency fund etc....
We are still plugging away. We've spent alot today tho, I collected my car from the garage after its service... £500  and we've just got back from John Lewis were we've spent 3K on a new bed and mattress:eek: (well you do spend a third of your life sleeping!) Oh and I got some new towels too, oh and a hair cut £57! We've also signed up to a virgin media package. But TBH, we've been scrimping and saving for years now, so a little splash out occaisionally is ok in my book and the OH has won 5K on the horses over the past month so he paid for the bed.
Keep going everyone!!£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
I have spreadsheets too - I'm more than a little obsessed
I have them open on my PC or laptop constantly... just in case anything changes, you see :rotfl:
I love seeing the numbers change and the totals go up!0 -
£35 just added. It will be a celebration when we reach 0.005% *rolls eyes*0
