Im fully aware of what that rate is I am saying what the travel agents rate is, which is always going to be lower than the market rate.

    Right, emweaver.

If Thomson travel agents are going to sell you Euros at a rate of 1.54 to the Pound, then this is what you should do:

Withdraw £1000 from your bank account. Walk to Thomson travel agents and change it to €1540. Then walk to the Post Office and change your €1540 in to Pounds. They'll give you £1135.94, according to www.postoffice.co.uk. Pay £1000 back into your bank account and go shopping with the remaining £135.94 that you just made in 10 minutes.

Sorry to take the p1ss, but can you see now that there is absolutely no way, that in the current market, ANYWHERE is going to sell you Euros at the rate of 1.54 to the Pound?

    The mid-market rate is 1 GBP = 1.23850 EUR !

Well I've just clicked your link and it's showing the rate as 1.2054
If you used your Nationwide card in a euro atm today the rate is 1.24 :p
