    Thanks inspector monkfish for the all the info, great job. I am one of those people about to change some money for my hols and this has been a great help been keeping a eye on this the past month. Going to wait till it hits 1.16 (tourist rate)again fingers crossed, I only work round the corner from Thomas Exchange.

    rallied back up to 1.1670

    I too am an avid reader Inspector - you're doing a great job keeping us all informed. It's a shame you don't have a crystal ball to see where it's going in the next couple of weeks. :beer:

    Heard a bit on Radio 4 this morning where the "expert" said the general feeling was the £ was overvalued and could only fall back from this level.
    She stated 1-45 to 1-50 against the $.
    Didn`t forcast a level for the € but if the £ is regarded as weak, are we heading back to 1-for-1 again?

    No way.
    I think she is talking rubbish.
    EuroZone is in deep deep trouble, and I can only see the Euro getting weaker.

    Don't see the GBP/USD level moving out of the 1.60's for a long long time. I think it will stabilise around these levels for some time to come.
