    Yes, I know it changes daily, but if i went to the bank or po with euros they would give me 1.13, thought i might get a better rate over there or al least no worse.

    When I used to use cash, it was generally better to change abroad than here, mainly because the UK institutions' supposedly "commission free" rates are heavily loaded.

    The Post Office online rate today is 1.0861, not 1.13

    Still not 1.13, today's Post Office online rate is 1.2254, so you'd receive £816.06 for €1.000.

    I found that The Money Shop have better rates than the post office, at least they did when i went to berlin last year. Is he post office better now?
