According to the Daily Telegraph, Douglas Hogg, MP for West Hoggshire, used public money to maintain an authentically medieval lifestyle, including £150 a month to have his jousting kit dry-cleaned and £820 for a state-of-the-art German lance sharpener.

I posted an explanation in the US$ thread, which equally applies here.0 -
Good to see 1.12 again, Now lets look again at 1.13 as I think where we were last week is about right.
I think my Natiowide card is what I will go for when away in two weeks as it offers a better rate than I can get with Caxton. Currently they offer 1.104 but with a N'wide visa debit card I would get 1.1203 for cash withdraws at this moment in time.
Even after June 1st there is still no charge in Spain so it looks like it could be happy days. It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.

Hello I am new to the site and we go away to Spain on 30th May. We will need to change £1000 to euros to pay for accommodation when we get there and spends. So, basically, is it best to take cash and change to to euros over there in the banks or use a Nationwide card which we already have and use to draw out as we need. Does anyone know if there is a limit on withdrawals, if not I will phone Nationwide.
Many thanks0
