Well I was thinking I would get 1.14 in two weeks time but now I doubt that very much.
Could have took 1.121 this morning from Caxton but felt that the pound was at last starting to push on into an area where it should be.
I do think todays fall is a knee jerk reaction to the extra £50b in QE and would expect a rise in the coming trading sessions back towards a headline rate of 1.13It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.

I bet RBS losses of £857m will not help the poor old pound this morning either.
I remember when it was 1.35 and thinking it can't get any worse than this. I'd do anything to see 1.35 or even 1.25. Can't see it myself though.0 -

I'm with you to Inspector.
I'm shortly going to shift a large amount of GBP into EUR and so I can guarantee you all on this thread that the day AFTER I shift it at 1.13 or whatever, there will be a huge announcement about QE or ECB getting their numbers wrong and it'll shoot upto 1.30 - just to annoy me!.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -

Let's see if you can beat this one: I had to change pounds into 54,500 euros at 1.06 euro to the pound in March. Things will only get better! - and so far they have.0 -
