with markets behaving the way they are lately, who knows

market consensus seems to that ECB will cut by 0.50 on thursday, and that will be pretty much factored in to the rate already.

however, if they do something different to what is expected, then we may see a different reaction to the rate....

tune in at 12.45pm on thursday to see what happens...;)

I'm having a dumb moment & can't think for the life of me how to reverse a currency conversion :think: I brought some tabacco back from Spain for a friend, it cost me 55.50 in euro's & I got an exchange rate of 1.0252 when I bought my euro's, how do I work out how much the tabacco cost in GBP? because I was basically working on £1 to 1 euro while I was out there!

just charge him a nice round £55 and be done with it !!

[07:31 EUR/GBP: 0.92 Handle Lost After Model Fund Selling] London, April 1. Model
fund selling is being flagged as a factor in the latest EUR/GBP down-leg to a new
one-week low of 0.9191. Last week"s low of 0.9160 (March 24) is a bear target
below. 0.9223-0.9257 was today"s Asian session range.

A UK clearer recently issued a recommendation to sell EUR/GBP, targeting
0.8300.

March"s UK manufacturing sector PMI is due at 08:30GMT. A rise to 35.0, from
34.7 in February, is forecast.

after yesterdays poor German unemployment numbers, EZ numbers at 10.00am can only be a shocker....
