07:15 02Apr09 (GBP) March housing data surprises to the upside
(GBP) House prices in the UK come in better than expected according to
Nationwide's survey. House prices rose 0.9% on the month in March and fell
15.7% on the year. They were fared better than the median average. Nationwide said it was too soon to call a housing market recovery and said that the current upturn in activity is therefore more likely to reflect the return of buyers who have delayed purchasing through the worst of the financial turbulence at the end of 2008 rather than the beginnings of a swift recovery. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Hi
I have to book a holiday soon and need to pay the full amount by credit card. The booking is for France, in euros. Please have you any idea whether I should book now or wait to see if the exchange rate gets better over the next few weeks?
Thanks0 -

Thanks
pay it on Tuesday 21st July, around 1.30pm
in my opinion that will be the best date and time to get the best possible rate for you..Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

I am curious as to why then or are you joking?
I think that I will have to book this month as the accomodation may not be available if I leave it too long0 -
Well I have kept away for a while waiting for the good old pound to head back above 1.10.
Now I am back watch it fall again!!
Only joking. Fully expect to see a slow rise towards 1.2 over the coming 6 weeks or so as the markets see the pound has been hit much too hard in recent months and the Eurozone is in worse trouble than many want to admit. It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.
