Soappie you didn't upset me at all
It just seems unbelievable that so many police officers are dying needlessly at the moment. All have been reported as well regarded and all have left families including children behind which I find the most tragic bit. Just remembered about a Wiltshire officer who was found dead with what looks like self inflicted gunshot wounds as well within the last week

Hi all
Haven't done that bad today, tried not to turn the computer on; so I wouldn't be too distracted. Only got a few extra things to stick on the end of Friday's list. Have to do most of it before I pick my friend up; we are weighing in at Boots tommorrow.
Fearsome Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
Level One
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself!!!!! paint your nails, make an appointment to have your hair done, a lovely soak in the bath.. whatever you feel like!! I'm having my nails done this morning as usual - Going to Starbucks with a preloaded card thingy (no buns; but a skinny Latte and a girly chat)
Level Two
Vacuum the floor
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!!
Level Three
Clean 2 windows
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season! My DH was laughing at me the other day on some 6 year Xmas camcorder footage he said 'OMG, you still have those PJ's' - well sod him I am going to have a good clear out of my drawers and if anyhting needs replacing - I'll be treating myself
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
Extra Task List
- Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
- Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
- Sort through one box or toys.. if you have no children find a box of junk.. is there anything that needs to go?
- End of week fling!! grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend!
Put kids car seats back together
Post CPW Bill
Get some more stamps
S & S Bathroom
2 x WM/TD

Good evening everyone
Sorry, busy day, I managed to read a little earlier but then had to dash to swimming, just been trying to catch up a little more this evening. Instead of making a mile long post saying what has now emptied from my brain, I'd like to offer hugs all round xxx Oh has anyone heard from Pink Fairy? she's been MIA for a little while now as have some others...
Made myself do the kitchen after getting home so that is all sorted. Scrubbing floors on hands and knees however has just about crippled me I think, have had pins and needles in my feet since. Anyway, all done now.
DP gone to work so having some time for me, watching junk tele etc. I've got a list a mile long to do tomorrow....oh and Mother's staying over on Sunday again so DS1s room definately needs doing....One day I might be more organised...........

Hi Sharon. Sorry for the delay in replying - I've been at work this evening - just back in.
I got the recipe from MrsMcawber on the March Grocery Challenge thread. It's
2 cups plain flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp veg oil
3/4 cup warm milk
mix together, knead for a couple of mins, rest (covered) 30 mins, break into 8 pieces, roll into balls, cover again and leave 10 mins, roll into 8" rounds.
Heat a heavy based frying pan (I/m gonna try my cast iron wok) , drop round into pan, turn over when bubbles appear (about 2 mins) and do same to the other side.
So far I've rolled them into balls and put them in the freezer coz I don't need them until tomorrow night and apparently they roll out much smoother having been frozen.
You may like to check your cookbooks for the "cup" conversion. Mine said that 2 cups was 16oz flour and 3/4 cup of milk was 6 fl. oz. Have to admit that I thought the dough looked a bit dry but I suppose tortillas are really, aren't they.
Everyone on the Grocery Challenge is raving about them so thought I'd give it a go.
If you need to print this recipe out for a scrap book, I don't know if you have done this before but you can right-click on the post number next the the # sign and select print and it will print out the individual post instead of the whole page.
Hope this helps.

Would you believe white vinegar:rotfl: Seriously, it is supposed to work, but I've not used it myself. Half and half with warm water and sponge over the marks in a circular motion. Blot dry with a towel and brush the nap up when fully dry.
Just been talking to sis-in-law, and checked I was right about this. She has used it, but said it took a couple of goes. She thinks you could do it with neat vinegar and then rinse. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
And now I am back I can't remember who I am meant to be replying to and who I aren't..
Had a fabulous meeting though.. I have the assistant head of the health services possibly coming to an initial assessment for one of my children next week.. the OT or Physio she said she would try to get to.. if she can't make it I have to write a summary of what happened at all 3 of my appointments. So that the experience can be used to illustrate the shortfalls in the provision.
I have decided how the OT appointment will go.
1. I will do the initial details.
2. When they ask me what DS2's problems are/what he needs help with I will have him deliver that.. his fine and gross motor development is way behind his peers.. he is 12 and still cannot ride a bike or fasten his shoes laces very well.. takes him about 2000 attempts. Though he can do his school tie!
3. I will add anything I feel he has forgotten
4. I will make my demands!
I also just discovered we can self refer to audiology and enuretic clinic so I'm doing that tomorrow while I am there for DD3.. I KNOW she has underlying causes for her wetting and I want to get to the bottom of it. Also her hearing is being affected by something and if it isn't her ears it is her adenoids plus the 3 boys all have/had glue ear to some extent so I should have that checked for my own peace of mind.
I feel that was a very productive meeting as far as changing the way children with special needs are treated and though we only got to item 2 on an 8 item agenda it was worth the extra hour discussion and input.
Enough waffle..
Hubby has done the lunches, I need to do the uniforms and strip off my nail polish and one nail which I have broken at about 3/8ths of an inch from the top.. pain doesn't quite cover it!
I may get all carried away and load the DW too.. then I am off to my nest.
Mrs Pepperpot (I love those stories!!!) That was pretty good for a first attempt.. it does get easier the more you do!! I've been doing this just over a year now and my house is still hovelesque!! It will get easier!!
Back.. DD1 just had a sudoku puzzle to do and she was stuck so I took about 3 minutes to complete.. lol..
I have the munchies!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

JillD crossed post. Yes, 1969 gives it away. Another reason for 'eating healthily' and losing weight now is I don't want to feel fat and be 40 at the same time. I know its over a year away but if I start now I should have it sussed by then. First time I've typed 40 regards to myself and it looks scary.
yes we will not be Fat and Forty but Fit and Forty (well thirtynine in my case LOL). It looks less scary in letters then numbersJan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
