nicki - when will your ou course start? i did a few courses with them a few years ago and really enjoyed them though they were all health related.

I've just signed up for the personal finance one, which starts May 3rd. :D Really easy and I've just tried to print out the application for funding but my printer decided to throw a wobbler and consume about 5 pages at a time so I'll have to go through and see how well its printed!

Now just to have a look at the degree I was going to do - I'm now wondering whether to combine Business Studies and ICT ? Will go off to have a mooch at the Business studies course now while my tea settles (change of plan, we had cheeseburgers but they're repeating like mad ATM for me and DD decided to scrape the cheese off as she didn't like it  ) then to speak to Ex on the phone with DD and then she can toddle off to bed and I'll get on with my accounts as I can't concentrate on them with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on in the background :rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening all

DK - if it was raining just after 2pm you posted, you may or may not be interested to know it's still raining now!
Mudbath - yes, that's my car on the drive - as long as it's a silver 4x4 thingy and thank you for the welcome home :) A little history lesson - the expression 'on your rag' derives from the days before disposable things and ladies used rags which had to be washed and boiled....

 ORF ops can now stand down until Monday - thank you for your efforts

Right, my second free lunch was had today and was quite pleasant. My third free lunch this week will be tomorrow - though that's more of a 'launch' type lunch event. There'll probably be boring speeches and advertising etc. But, as long as there's wine, I'll survive (and no - I'm not driving - I'm being chauffered by a friend).

Will be working tomorrow around the lunch and all weekend - but from home. Have so far managed to stave off working over Easter weekend and even booked Thursday afternoon off - don't fancy battling for road space with the Easter vacationers setting off early. I shall need the break. By then, I'll have worked through almost three weeks solid without a whole day off.

Right, tonight, I shall do the kitchen challenges and WILL start on the community newsletter.

My sister has done the course and said it was really easy after everything we already know from here :rotfl: Thats why I'm going to take it, easy but hard enough to get my mind working again and back into study mode. :o

As for Harry Potter - I'm very cool apparently as I have all 7 books and all the DVDs, but I'm even cooler as I'm letting DD read them and watch the DVDs even though she's only 6 :rotfl::rotfl: She loves it! Apparently she works at Hogwarts ;):rotfl:

Right, time to sort out what "toy" (aka Barbie/Little Pony things) DD is taking into school tomorrow

In the press this last week or so now there have been three officers from three different forces (sorry should be 'service' in this pc world) who are no longer with us. My DH, the CC of GMP and a DS from Lancashire. What kind of message is that sending out to Joe Public and would be police recruits?

And now there's a fourth. News in these 'ere parts all over the radio this evening is that an Inspector from Dorset was found in Poole Bay this morning. He boarded the Barfleur ferry just before midnight last night as a foot passenger and must have fallen off somehow not long after it set sail - no-one saw him go...
