how would any of you feel if your daughter came home from junior school with a personal invitation from another child to what is effectivally a recruitment meeting for johovis witnesses (sp?). i went into school to say i wasn't happy with this to be told 'oh yes, we said she could give them to teachers but not children but really it's just their equivilent to having a party'. i have no problem with people being any religion they want, they can believe in pink elephants with purple spots if they want, i just don't like it being pushed on my daughter. last year this same child told my daughter she'd go to hell if she didn't join the jw's so it's not the first time. rant over.

Bang out of order if you ask me. I agree with people choosing their religion but draw the line at having their choice rammed down my throat. A & W go to a CofE school, I suspect they would not have had permission to distribute them there!

I agree with AnW'smum mudbath, i'm all for diversity and everyone is free to believe in whatever they want. Just dont try and ram it down my throat:confused: Dont think it would have gone down well at DD school either, she is at a catholic school!

Agree with you Mudbath- Have to say I think that my mum would have gone mad if it had happened at my nieces school. My niece would have died if they had followed her believe and she also would no have been able to say goodbye to her mummy.\

G&B do you know how long it takes to grow a fruit tree so that they bare fruit?

No idea, the trees they were selling looked about 6ft. assuming they would probably take a couple of years to settle and fruit.

Where does a day go - just had lunch, shopoping away and it is almost school run time already.

Fruit trees don't fruit until they are about 8-10 years old (I think) so will depend on how old the tree is that you buy.

Raspberries fruit in the second year you plant them so are a quicker choice as are strawberries.

Mudbath - I'd have gone spare. We are lucky and live in a pretty street of 50 houses. The johos love our street as they wander up and down it about once a month - needless to say they have been trained not to knock on my door.
