Not done much here today, went to meeting at school and the teacher was telling me that DD has no friends but doesn't understand why, she stands alone most days in the playground and same in class. The only people who will play with her is DS1 and 2 off his friends. I think the problem is the kids don't realise that if they stand behind her she can't hear them and that they need to be facing her for her to understand, so they get bored repeating themselves and don't bother with them, even when DD asks to play they tell her no and to go away. Feeling really sorry for her.

Presumably her teacher knows that your DD can only hear if someone is facing her. If so, can you ask her to explain this to the children so that they understand that she is not being rude to them if she doesn't reply. She might well end up with loads of friends then. It must be horrible for you to know how lonely your DD must be feeling at school.

Got my washing out and it's windier than I thought lol I looked like the wild woman of Borneo when I come back in (no different to usual some might say) but it's having a good blow so hopefully it'll be dry-ish before I go to work at 12.

Washing machine loaded and on but it's playing up again so a new one is def on the cards - best get saving ultra quick then. Was flicking through the Argos catalogue yesterday and I managed to spend £2,000 just on my living room  :D in my head of course, only fantasising. erm. Kinda :o I WILL get that corner suite I don't care HOW many houses I have to clean for it.

    list time.

    [strike]make beds
    open windows to air
    hoover through
    S&S kitchen
    S&S living room
    wash dishes in sink
    clear stairs of junk
    hoover stairs
    take laundry baskets upstairs
take new laundry basket upstairs (not put together yet)

    empty DW (delegated to teenie)
bring bin in (delegated to teenie)
    [strike]peel spuds for tea
    pay rent[/strike]

I've also got my bag ready for work (I change from my weekend handbag to work bag for through the week) sorted out some papers and filed them, and I'm just about to email the council about next door .....gossip:- she put his car window in with a brick when I was at work last week - ( :rotfl: stupid bint! ) but the grots left all the glass AND the brick on the road for me (I detour round it) and other road users and obviously the kids that play out, ignorant runts! so I'm gonna complain about it, OH says I should just sweep it up and dump it on their drive, but not feeling brave enough at the mo.

anyway, gonna have a look at washing machines on the net now, and do some emailing.
  • Bathroom done. I did the ensuite yesterday as part of the main bedroom. Just got to tackle the study now. I think I am going to do 10 minute bursts on this room because it is really really bad and I know I will get overwhelmed if I try and do it all in one go.
