I managed to get quite a bit done on the list yesterday. It was my first day and I felt that I really achieved something.

Not much planned today apart from a trip to the post office to post my cashback claim.

Also quietly dreading the cleaning today. My study is a complete pigsty. It really is bad beyond all belief and I am not quite sure where to start.

    Have a great day everyone.

Welcome Sharon_1970. I think most of use feel that it seems to be the baby steps that work. Take a small area of the study and start to sort it out. Maybe have a little break then do some more.

One 'rule' for flying is don't start something that you can't finish.

I think that is where I used to go wrong as I would try and tidy the whole room sort all the cupboards, clean everything etc and by the end of the day it looked worse than before now I try little and not too often. I think it seems to work although if you ask my DH he probably hasn't even noticed but that is another story :D

    Morning everyone.

Plans changed here yet again. DH rang ILs last night to see if we could put them off coming if DS was still unwell, and MIL has offered to come up on Wed so she can watch DS Thur and Fri while we work, and then, FIL join us at the weekend and help DH do some DIY - so that will mean that a good chunk of school work falls down the radar, and we do some crisis cleaning. (and ironing - otherwise MIL will feel obliged to do it, and no offence, but i am a bit fussy in that one area of life. )

    Achieved so far:
    • cats fed
    • toys tidied up from days ago - DS hasn't even played with anything since saturday and it was all still out
    • packed lunch made
    • breakfast eaten
    • last nights washing up away
    • bag packed for work
going to get DH to put compost out, and get some more cat food in from the garage, and we had best check DS is still alright as he has been asleep most of yesterday, and then put to bed at 7:30 last night, and still asleep now. The only good thing about him being ill is he is a sleeper. Unfortunately that was on someone's knee for most of yesterday, and he covered my work trousers in snot - not like i have that many decent pairs at the minute, so needed washing - at least the lycra will dry quick.

Jill i will be joining you in losing some weight before your birthday - i am hoping for at least a stone ;) (although i sincerely hope no more than 7-8 Ibs of baby). It best be out by then anyway, as i am cheesed off already.

BEst hop to it - see you lovely ladies later, and i hope the weather doesn't affect you to badly - sunny here at the moment.

Morning all. Going to be a long day here as DD is off school ill  She's had a cough/cold for the past about 5 days which is not unusual for her, but last night she kept me awake most of the night or woke me up (and I am a heavy sleeper  ) with coughing to the point she's woken up this morning looking as pale as a vampire and HUGE black eyes, earache, sore throat, streaming nose and the cough is no better (and now I'm starting with it  ) so she's been dosed up and put on the sofa in her PJs under a blanket and told not to move! She has toiletroll and plenty to drink and will spend the whole day resting if I have to sit on her!:rotfl:

So I'll spend the day doing paperwork and stuff at the computer to keep one eye on her:rolleyes: Could do with going back to bed though :o Laters

    Good morning everyone.

    Hi to the newbies.:hello:.

Had a bit of a restless night with the cough. Had a strange dream. The Arctic Monkeys were playing in a nearby pub. I havent even listened to any of their music lol.

Im trying to lose weight too. Used to go to SW but am doing it on my own. Have started the gym but just go on rower and tread mill. Need to lose about a stone.

I forgot ( senior moment) who mentioned rhubarb but I love it in a tart.

Meeting my daughter this morning then after lunch visit mum. So will be flying later. Does anyone know what will clean the grout between the tiles?

Hugs to all who need them and hope all the poorles feel better soon.
