I signed up and don't see anything that shows that I can get the freeview adaptor for 9.95, and no email yet, either.0 -
No luck with Sainsburys, but ordered 3 of the Alba from Dixons on 12th March and received the goods on 13th!! Have set one up already and works well. Great, thanks for the details.

It's not always as clear cut as that. My analogue signal is so poor that the picture is unwatchable, but I can receive all the Freeview channels with only the odd interruption during poor weather. My Mother, who gets a near perfect analogue picture, can't get all the Freeview channels, and the ones she does get are interrupted whenever a car goes past.No. If you can't get the standard analogue transmissions, then you can't pick up Freeview.
I think it depends to some extent on the choice of receiver. Some are definitely better than others. I'm not comparing like with like because I have BT Vision which replaced a Netgem iPlayer*. My Mum has a cheap and nasty Sagem. We both have signal amplifiers.
If you're unsure, the best thing to do is borrow someone else's box and see if it works on your aerial.
*Not to be confused with the BBC iPlayer!0
