Do you not think the stickers themselves cause people to tailgate, while they try and get close enough to read them. just a thought.

You're not going to change the way people drive by sticking a sticker on the back of your car.

I do slow down if someone is pushing me. they soon get the hint.

To a certain extent I agree, but this cab one was so big (you didn't need to be close) & sort of passive non confrontational. Like it was automatic:o

    Some ideas here...

Some things I have seen people said they have done is wire up a switch to the reverse light to turn the reverse lights on, and wire up a brake light switch so they can hit that and accelerate. Another more inventive thing I have read is of someone wiring up a washer jet to squirt redex into a carb, guess it would have to be a small amount to prevent the engine from stalling, but I think the idea was plumes of smoke emitted from the exhaust :D

Other thing is often you'll get these people tailgating you in a 40, the limit becomes national and you disappear into the distance while they seem to be sticking to 40, idiots.
You've just reminded me of a trick played out on our apprentice once - he'd been winding me up (in a nice way) and I was getting ready to kill him (in a nice way). Anyway, an old horn was found in the workshop, bolted it to the underneath of his car and wired up to his brake lights.

We heard him leave that evening, reverse out of space, brake - BEEP - drive forward, brake - BEEP etc. etc. I drove past him up the road with his bonnet up, I stopped, he was so puzzled why his hooter kept going off.....

    smirk.....

    Oh no, not loving that.

    Bit naff.

I don't really like car stickers, but people are so annoying.
Its not so scary now, when I had my tiny car it was scary.

If you turn on the rear fog lights, does that make it look like you've hit the brakes?

Not everyone has all day to get everywhere and drives along on the phone / looking at the view / touching up their nails - may be the reason you are being tail gated is that you are doing 20 in a 30 zone?
    I think....

Suppose a it would but your centre brake light obviously won't be on and I think by law all rear fogs are wired to only come on with dipped/full beam headlights on so would only work at night.
