    I'm from "Up North" and we used to call it "fry up" when we were kids, loved it! Bubble and squeak was the posh name:rotfl:

    Was going to make bubble and squeak cakes out of my leftover from sunday lunch. I was wondering would i beable to freeze these then reheat when needed?

    I would chop it all together and freeze rather than making it and then freezing - never done either (all gets scoffed!) but I think the flavour would be better that way around.

    I mix the leftovers and freeze in bag too. I have tried cooking it all up and then freezing but didnt find it as good when reheated.

    I mix the veg, shape into cakes (fish cakes shape) and open freeze them; when they're frozen they all go into a poly bag together and I can take out however many I need.
    ... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D
