I have just started getting my oh with an advantage card
he still gets 150 points for a meal deal today he got 300 points the sa must have scanned it twice !

I'm surprised Martin has chosen this as a tip. There is no guarantee of getting 100 points on a meal deal. I tried today on my card and my husband tried his card. I got nothing, husband got 50 points. We bought two meal deals they would only allow us one set of 50 points. The price on their sandwiches is ridiculously inflated. Netto sells chicken salad sandwiches for 89p.

Just quickly to answer this. The Meal Deal is very popular and many people eat it for lunch, so saving anything on it is important. Of course Netto is cheaper, but there are very few Nettos compared to Boots and they aren't near high streets.

Also this isnt a 'meal deals are cheap' but a way most people don't know to make them cheaper. Hence its a very important tip.

As for the 'do you get 100 points, it does vary as noted in the original note, but 100 is roughly standard'

What really surprises me is that people are prepared to pay over-inflated prices at Boots to get a few points on their Advantage Cards. Then use their Ad Cards to pay for over-inflated, horrible tasting sandwiches.

I used to work for Boots for over 15 years.... believe me, even the staff with discounts cards (22%) don't shop at Boots!

I'm always suitably impressed with the range of sandwiches, wraps, salad boxes and smoothies that my Boots outlets have near to me. Of course, the larger the outlet, more often than not the better the range. I also cannot ever resist the range of puddings that are on offer! Chocolate Sundae's definitely my favourite! Slurp! :rotfl:

25 points in Exeter. But got a box of Choc Orange segment things (big box) for £2.09 (under half price) and a £2 voucher off digital photo prints too!
