Yep that's right, I was nearly one of the idiots. Now I'm just dead clever and smug. :money:0 -

We have had our house on the market since September I think that the first estate agents we went with over priced it - but we thought it was worth it and got a viewing same day it went on market. How ever the lady never came back and they said they didn't have her info, never had another viewing with them. In December after getting out of the contract we went with another agent they have been much better had loads of viewing but all from people who haven't sold their own house yet. it is very frustrating. My policy is not to view until we have a solid buyer. Its a case of do you view your dream house and hope it's still there once you get an offer ofrdo you just hope that it might be there and you haven't got too attached cos you haven't viewed. The thing that is even more frustrating is that my husband is commuting from North Somerset to Devon everyday thats a lot of driving, cost and not got for the environment.
Had a viewing tonight may be good news in the morning0 -
I am waiting for the budget! I am not the most financially astute person in the world but the way I see it is they might raise stamp duty threshold and then I would be £1,395 better off if we buy the house we are looking at.
let's hope it happens!0 -

You can still view the houses and make offers - but agree later exchange and completion date! The stamp duty is paid on the completion, not when you make an offer.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
We are in the process of putting in an offer anyway, but it will probably make a difference to how much we can afford if you see what I mean!
I hope they don't up the threshold then set it for a date far in the future (we are not wanting to complete till August anyway) that would really annoy me!
Any excuse not to give away my money to the government really!0 -
Yeah.
I've been away for a month in colorado on a skiing/busines trip and when I logged on the other day I was blocked. As was my wife's.
Must have been something to do with that thread about the affair.
Whatever.

Aww, nice to see you back. Have all your old posts been deleted?poppy100 -
The real reason the EA should have given: Barnsley and Cardiff have advanced to the FA Cup semi-final and now people just don't know what to do anymore in relation to anything. How can you expect viewings when crazy things like that are happening? After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.0
